I have stocks and they are doing fine just as they were doing fine for last 8-10 years. They were doing great last year, now they are back on the same trajectory they have been/should be. There isn’t some aha moment or anything special that I see, or have heard of but everyone’s situation is different for sure 

Haha....... fine as in you didnt lose all your money?  The stock market and the economy was a wreck under Obama.  The ends dont justify the means in regards to the growth of the market under Obama.  Your money was hogtied and did not grow.  That profit with compounding interest will never be made up due to anti capitalistic agenda

In 2 years DJIA has averaged 20% increase year over year. In the last 3 years of Obama it averaged 6%. You are selectively ignoring facts to fit your belief, which is confirmation bias.

That’s also just one index. And an index is just a broad range picture of the market. Technically, depending on what gblock holds, he could be doing significantly better in his portfolio during those last three years of Obama versus first couple years of trump. 

For example, if he holds a lot of international, he’s not happy these last few years. 

Pointing out one fact about one index is also pointing out fact to fit YOUR belief.

I'd vote for Tulsi Gabbard rather than Trump. She's wanting to pull out of the war machine/empire crap, so that will save TONS of money. For the record, because Tulsi is against war the media and democrat machine will never give her a chance.

War is big business.  A lot of tax money is spent on defense and will continue to do so.

It always employs quite a bit of people so I wouldn't be so quick to say just by pulling troops out that the govt is going to all of a sudden have all this extra money to spend on other things.

If I were more liberal I would say that money would be better spent on healthcare and those people could be employed in the healthcare industry.

Since the DJIA is the most used index and closely would mimic any broad range diverse holdings (various mutual funds, etc) that would be the logical index to use.

My tax burden is lower and my 401k and IRA are both much higher now than in 2016. I have made many more “dollars” since Trump took office. I am also not rich.

 

Unless you have no job and have no money at all in the stock market, you have made money because Trump is in office. You may not want to admit it, but facts don’t care about your feelings.

what i actually said was that the money made wasn't drastically more than the arc that it had been on since 2009.  almost every graph sits at about a 45 degree angle since 2009. but man that is an accurate representation of the internet.
