Seems like a slap on the wrist. Are they going to announce what they actually found?
I don’t actually think it’s a big deal, but Tressel went down for much less and it still pisses me off.
Predictable is predictable. Was at a friend's on Tuesday and he asked what was going on and I told him that I figured that nothing would happen to the team, but Harbaugh himself would be suspended and then probably just run to the NFL next year because of how it's super-obvious his style of doing things and the NCAA's rules aren't compatible. And, well, looks like nothing happened to the team and Harbaugh was suspended, with the NFL pending.
So, the only part that even comes close to surprising me is how it's only a game-day "no sidelines" suspension instead of a "not with the program" one.
As for the Tressel part, one thing that's cracked me up about some of the big-time Michigan guys online or on TV (Barstool's Portnoy, Desmond Howard) is that they're all about due process and letting things play out now, while with Tressel, they were all about "rules were broke, justice must be done!!!". Because obviously, it's far more horrible for players to sell the stuff they were given as sanctioned rewards for winning games to get $$$ than it is to gain a competitive advantage via ignoring rules, regardless of those rules seeming kind of dumb.
