ADIEU. Every day.

I've used AUDIO in the past, it's essentially the same but I like the E instead of the O.

Congrats to Ironman92. Not suspicious at all that the guy keeping score won. :)

Curious what everyone uses off the Tee? I go AUDIO every time. Never alter.

Typically strep. But I’ll remember the words from the day prior and mix it up some. Strep had been too good for too many days so today I used different vowels with the same top 3 common consonants.

For months I was playing a ton of octordle and my first 3 words were often strep, audio, lynch….using all 6 vowel possibilities and 8 of the 9 most used consonants. I’ve played so many Quordle and octordle practice games….but still shocked of my run of 3’s and no 5+

Typically strep

What are you going to fill it with?

I use SLATE.  Think there was an article the other day that, scientifically, it's the best starting word.  But it was pretty sucky for this round of golf.

Normal daily play I usually switch is up.  I don't throw in any crazy letters, but occasionally use starting words with an L, P or C.

For a long time, I used adieu, then recently I switched to stare and sometimes spare.

I’d rather have the r instead of the l…both top 5 consonants but r seems more used with s and t

Usually on my next word I've gotten all the most common letters out of the way.

Apparently, with correct play starting with SLATE (technically, SALET which isn't in the worlde list) solves all wordle choices in 5 guesses.

Some interesting strategies.

AUDIO for me leaves out the E, but when I used ADIEU it was tougher to figure out which vowel paired with the O if it was needed. The E, at least in my own head, is easier to place without using it prior to needing it, if that makes any sense.

Interesting. I might start using AUDIO daily and see if I notice a difference.

I mainly use 'audit', otherwise it is 'steam' or 'share'

If a few days in a row where “e” is the vowel….roast is a great starting word

I was using HERLS in another game for a while.  Found it quite effective as it gets some of the more common consonants while including part of a ton of common 2-letter combos.

In terms of solving it the fastest, not sure.  Maybe adieu or audio are best.  But knowing a vowel is in a word isn't super helpful unless you know it's spot.  The vowels come naturally while you guess other words.

Laley went final 13 holes without a bogey or worse

#11 and #14 were bitches

Sportchampps birdie on #7 gained almost 2 shots on the field and also was the only person to win a hole over everyone else and did it on #6 and #7

Hole 12 was the easiest and had 3 eagles….17 and 18 were next…4 was also easy.

There were 7 fails and 5 eagles

I threw out a 29 on the back 9. I think my best stretch ever was a 3-2-3-3 back a couple months into this game….I matched it.

Sportchampps had 4 straight birdies but also 2 other stretches of 3 straight
