Roku vs bluray with streaming

I'm trying to choose between a roku 466r streaming movie player and an LG bp350 bluray player that can also stream movies. The lg is $40 cheaper. I have a Netflix account. Is there any advantage the roku has that I'm missing?

We have both and I much prefer the Roku. It's faster, more user friendly and just all around better. That said, we do use the Blu-ray a lot so I'm glad we have it.

Can I ask why you are not considering the Amazon fire stick?

I'm getting a gift for being at my company for 5 years. I have a list to pick from.

Makes sense.

Do you have a Blu-ray collection?

I do, although I rarely rewatch movies. I hit red box up from time to time. This would probably be in addition to my bluray player. Right now we have a fire stick that we move back and forth between our bedroom and living room. Maybe a good question would be what are the differences between roku and firestick?
