If I recall correctly, that was during the time we did high school forums and were modding them to some degree (ie: no profanity and shit like that, because kids...or whatever). Got the impression he got pissed off because he thought being an advertiser meant no rules, so he went ballistic when whoever was modding the HS Football stuff either warned him about language or edited/deleted a post with it.

Yes, that sounds right. And it doesn't make me the bad guy. He got SUPER pissy, though. He used to respond with stupid comments on facebook and twitter when I would rarely make posts on those platforms.

Chesapeake was almost a cool guy, but leaned too hard into "this is SERIOUS BUSINESS" at times. Because he'd been a mod on JJ before we all burned that place down, didn't he REALLY want to be a mod here and would constantly nag about that and get weird when we didn't want to add him to the "staff"? Weird and annoying, but he was no Gibby. Now that guy took SERIOUS BUSINESS to epic levels and was partly responsible for the first year of this site being memorable as fuck!

Also, that weird-ass wrestling dad who pulled his kids out of one school to go to another and then went on insane rants about the old school here. Basically a psychopath dad using message boards as his means to vent about how his kids were super-perfect and everything was someone else's fault. Basically CC/Quaker, but with his batshit conspiracy theories centered around high school wrestling instead of politics.

And everyone's favorite 8th grader (or 40-year-old faking being a teen), Mt Rulz or whatever that tard's name was.

That first year was a doozy. Gibwok, what a SKITTLES.

I remember when he went on a wild rampage here because the barber nicked his kids ear.

The WTF moment for me, with him, was that I thought his family was getting government assistance and the dude posts a pic of the amount of Christmas gifts his kids had by the tree that would've made Bill Gates blush.

1_beast and I are Facebook friends (along with 4Ringz). We all live in the same county.

Chesapeake was one weird mofo.

I always liked the name Footwedge, but he would come off the rails on some subjects.

BR1986FB going against shelbucks on the Browns was always fun reading.

Shelbucks was always bragging about his season tickets for the Tribe like he had some butler delivering him Grey Poupon or something.

Reminds me of Tiernan's love of boasting about his "wealth" by bragging about eating crab salad at some country club. Because apparently being able to go to a place and order crab salad puts one in the one-percent group. I guess.

Gosharuddies.

I'm not gonna lie.  Reading this triggered me haha.  I never really got into too many arguments with anyone on here, but I'd get pissed at some of the stuff I read.

The one thing I remember doing (it took awhile to type) was arguing either Oklahoma State or Oregon for the BCS over one of the SEC teams.  I did more research for that than for me thesis for my masters.

Adornetto's was great. They opened one in Newark as well, not sure if it's still open.

I always disliked Society, or -Society-, or whatever iteration of that he posted under.

Me, too.

He was part of what I referred to as the three S's that I didn't like............Society, Sage and Sleeper.

Society had that stupid avatar of a cadaver mannequin that was split down the middle of its head with skin on one side and open on the other.

Sage's avatar was a bear.

I do not miss any of them.

Society's avatar was part of a Pearl Jam album cover.

Not open as Adornetto's. It is now The Red Oak Pub but owned by the same people. No Italian food on the menu, mostly Burgers and typical bar food.

Figured. I took my grandma to Bummie’s for dinner on Thursday. The last few times I was in town it was closed so I was happy to get back there.
