Hey all. No idea if anyone remembers me. Probably haven't posted/logged-in in 10 years. Someone tonight mentioned JJ Huddle and had no idea it had shut down, which made me think of this place and what a refuge it was when that place started to go to heck. Decided to see if my log in still worked and it did! Came across this thread and thought I'd say hello.

That's a name I haven't seen in a while. Hope things have been going well for you.

nostalgic reading all these names. Seems like yesterday i was sitting in the intercontinental hotel in the galleria in houston, creating multiple accounts and posting bullshit on JJ Huddle then coming to freehuddle to laugh about it.

That dude who called himself "Sage" (among other random usernames) ran for office in Ohio a few years back and it was absolutely hilarious

Sage, Skyhook, rip23 (or something…huge LeBron fan). Those 3 for some reason always stick out to me.

I remember seeing this floating around.

Also, what's up? How are things?

Did INTEGRITY ever make it over to Freehuddle or OC?

He had me howling one night when he told his story about going to a HS graduation party and speaking in CB lingo the whole time.

I’m not positive….but my teaching friend who I sold a mess of nice baseball cards for….I’m 90% sure skyhook was her husband. I never asked and nothing confirmed, but all parts fit and I know he knew about JJ Huddle and this site…..he loved Wilt, graduated in 1979….and he knew I was on the sites

Oh, Skyhook was a massive Lakers fan (Kobe, Wilt, Magic, and obviously Kareem).

That guy wrote a pretty large post one time that had me laughing so hard. There were no prisoners taken!

Yes…him sticking to his guns with Wilt having a 50 inch vertical

Skyhook79 (I believe it was him) was a high school teacher and was a basketball official about 50 miles east of Cincinnati. I had both of his sons in class, the oldest ran XC for me a couple years and have taught with his wife for 25 years. He was ok overall but wasn’t good to his wife and very selfish.

Cancer got him about 6 years ago in mid 50’s

Since he ran for office his name is out there, I have to see this if anyone could share (sure I can find a campaign ad or something).

I vagely remember some of his ads even through I'm not in that area (there a lot for work, so probably while visiting).

Definitely was an odd ball.

That's sad to hear, we always bonded over our love of the Lakers.
