I was just gonna say, Cal tweeted:
I’m so proud of these five young men, with everything they did for us on the court and the way they represented us off of it.

This draft is going to be deep.

Hopefully the Cavs can buy a late 1st rounder.

I thought OSU losing Oden, Conley, and Cook was bad.

Where the hell is Mike Conley at anyway? I stopped paying attention.

Add these guys to the list...
Chris Wright from Dayton
Alex Tyus from Florida
Lance Stephenson from UC

During the NIT they said that Stephenson had said he was already coming back. Weak PG class will do that.

I suspect some of these players will return to college after testing the NBA waters.

A ton of them will.

This time is actually the most over-publicized time of the year.

The REAL news is the day they have to decide whether to STAY in the draft. I believe that is May 8th. That's when the real early-entrant news will happen.

He is the stating PG for the Memphis Grizzlies. He is averaging 12.0 ppg, 5.3 assists per games, and is shooting 39% behind the 3-point line.

is there a list somewhere?

seems like there are already 60 declared, so after seniors and international guys a ton of them will be coming back or not getting drafted.

You have to figure that if someone plays 4 years in college they typically are not NBA level talent at that point. No one stays 4 years anymore, so almost everyone drafted is an underclassman.

You mean players like Hansgrough, Terrance Williams, Eric Maynor, DeMarre Carrol, Toney Douglas and Darren Collison from last year ? And guys like Singler(Duke), Collins(KU) and Harongody(ND)? To name just a few who are, and will be in the NBA. ;)

Yes, mostly underclassman and overseas youth...but is and always will be some seniors. Last year, 21 seniors were drafted.

I'm surprised that there were that many last year (6). 5 in 2008. The mock draft I just saw has 3 from this year (one is Stanley Robinson and I don't see it).

So yes, I should have searched a little before.

I would have never guessed that many myself(both rounds). I recalled some off top of my head and then looked to see just how many and was surprised.

I saw that on the bottom line. Any word if he has hired an agent? I thought he could use another year to put on some bulk, he is gonna get pushed around a lot in the NBA.

karen,

I haven't seen it confirmed, but I'm pretty sure Davis is hiring an agent. Here's the statement he released today...sounds like he's definitely going all in to me.

Next year's team will definitely miss Ed. I'm not sure he's physically ready for the NBA, but he does have great potential. It's hard to pass up being a lottery pick twice, and with the possible NBA lockout looming, getting paid is the right decision. Hope he does well at the next level. Henson, Zeller, and the Wears will be the rotation at the 4/5 spot. Henson and Zeller could be VERY good next season, and with Carolina getting help on the perimeter, I think they'll be fine. Henson and Zeller definitely need to add some bulk in the off-season though.

JuJuan Johnson has declared without at Agent

E'Twuan Moore and Demitri McCamey are likely to follow. McCamey is the most likely to follow through and stay in draft.
