Any suggestions? My needs are fairly simple, I want take a handful of images, crop the subjects and combine them into a single file. TIA.

Well as far as free solutions go. I still tend to turn to Photoshop CS4 to edit any photos or play around.

Yep, Photoshop CS4 is great...

However, CS5 is going to have some AMAZING features within the next month or two... Look it up, the new editing features are kind of unreal.
