Thoughts?

A lot of people probably think it's him being cocky, but I personally think that he's got a very valid point, if he didn't want to care about winning and only cared about scoring, he would drop 35/40 a night easily.

Agree. He could score in that 35-40 ppg area consistently if he wanted to. Seems like he uses the 1st quarter of each game to get his teammates involved.

I think you could say the same about Kobe, Durant, and 'Melo as well, if their sole purpose was to win a scoring title they would do it. Now if all 4 decided they were going to do that, LeBron would outscore them all, just because of the way he scores his points.

^^ I guess I posted this because I was reading some of the comments under it, and a bunch of them were anti-Lebron.

And br, he also seems to use the 3rd quarter for that as well, either to just get his teammates involved more or to save his energy for the 4th quarter, but lately I've noticed his scoring drops off in the 3rd quarter but he tends to get more assists then.

He could do it easily.

He already averages 29.8 or so with 8.5 apg.

Just imagine if he cuts down his assists to the other scoring leaders and then takes those extra shots per game.

LOL, are you that stupid?

That's exactly why he said this. He doesn't give a fuck about the scoring title--he wants to win.

Funny how people say all he worries about is stats and doesn't care about winning, then he comes out and says this and people find fault in it.

On ESPN radio, the 2 guys (don't know who they were) were disagreeing, saying that Kobe this and Kobe that...and that Kobe is God from behind the arc...that neither Durant nor LBJ could outscore Kobe Braynt.

So....if I called their show and told them to look up this year's 3ball numbers....would they call me a "troll" for showing them wrong and stating the truth?

It all means nothing until he wins a ring. If he doesn't do it this year, what does that say about Lebron??

So basketball is not a team sport? It says nothing about LeBron. If Mo Williams stinks up the joint again this year, it isn't LeBron's fault.

Isn't this EXACTLY what LeBron is saying here?

People have hit an all new level of stupidity on here today. Jesus Christ. LeBron could save a baby and people would want him to register as a sex offender because he grabbed it by the diaper to save it from falling off a cliff.

Do you realize how fucking stupid that sounds? Exactly...

Everytime LeBron has stepped out on the court, from elementary, to AAU, to high school, to the NBA, he's been the BEST.

Carmelo, Kobe, Durant... NONE of them have the overall skill set that LeBron does. It's so fucking obvious it's not even worth a debate.

IF Lebron wanted to, he'd be averaging 38PPG. BUT, he's more worried about winning than personal accolades and he's also more worried about getting hsi entire TEAM involved, not just his own #'s.

Case closed.

i'd say anyone in the NBA could win the scoring title if that team constantly fed them the ball each time down the court, but that isnt the point of a team game.

nobody is saying those players have the complete skill set that LBJ has. But each of those players you listed if they felt like shooting and got fed the ball EVERY posession could score 35-40 a game probably.
