Husky's are indeed great dogs..if hair is an issue..definitely not a dog for you. They shed VERY badly. They also need a bunch of room as they are very hyper dogs as well. If you live in a little house with a little yard..I wouldn't recommend one then either.

I would love a husky or any other kind of big dog. But our house isn't the biggest...and, even though we have a fenced in back yard, it's not a big enough yard to have a big dog running around. We would have to get a smaller dog.

Shit in the yard between the front door in her car,pee on the living carpet, chew on the phonebook for no good reason, run around the yard with her favorite pair of shoes in your mouth, lick her face at 3 in morning because you want a snack, and last but not least, hump her leg about 3 times a day.

Bad idea to surprise because if that isn't the kind of dog she always wanted...You're going to end up with two...Your's and her's. Everytime the one you picked out does something bad...trust me....it's your fault..Surprise her with a dog breed book, research and then look together. Much better plan.

Might as well turn your man card in. Even though it is for your GF, you can't buy a little yappy dog. If a dog is the size of a football it deserves to be punted right off a bridge.

Just like this guy's dog.

I mean, we're not your girlfriend, bro. We're not you. In fact, we don't know anything other than your perspective that you've told us on this forum.

How are we supposed to make a decision again?

And if a mob of anonymous web posters is a Guiding Light in your life.... yea.
Nice threadshitting, asshole. if you have nothing to contribute, go read another thread. Please don't waste space in these forums with dumbass posts like "hurrrr I don't have a girlfriend so can we stop talking about them"

Also, sherm03....you have an annoying dog that lives next door, are you trying to compete with that?

Seriously you should do some research on dogs that are relatively well behaved, easier to train, and don't pierce your soul when they bark.
