So my brother had my niece's 6th birthday party today and everything is going smooth until he puts this pinata up. It seems that now you don't hit a pinata until it breaks you pull a string and it is supposed to break open. Are you fucking kidding me? That is ridiculous. I mean come on it's quite simple to control a party at pinata time. You say "ok kids if it isn't your turn to try and break the pinata open stand back."

Last time I bought a pinata (Christmas) they were all still the regular type. I had never heard of this type until I read this thread.

The last time I was around a pinata was my cousin's birthday part last summer and the kids hit the pinata until everything part of it was destroyed.

The pull string piñatas are supposed to be for younger kids. My daughter will be three next month and we have one already bought for her party. As soon as she is big enough to swing a stick and break one, we'll go to the regular kind.

...I wish I new how to make pinatas becuase I'd make them to look like Nancy Pelosi and sell them in DC today to all the Tea Party protesters. Shit, I'd be retired by next weekend.

I was at a park last weekend and there was a bday party going on...they had a regular pinata and none of the kids could break it, so one of the adults took a swing. I think he was trying to show off to a girlfriend, he swung so hard that the bat flew out of his hand and hit a car about 30 yards away...classic. Without real pinatas this jackass would never have this story to tell his kids someday; I'm sure someone had it on video too.
