I'm glad the refs from Orrville made the game.

On a side note...im truly amazed that a certain someone is on here running off the moth with ignorant comments. This person has tainted 12-13 years of Orrville sports...is NOW out of the picture, and hoops is successful. How in the Godd Lord's name can this person claim frivilous claims against someone for the propaganda on a PUBLIC message board...then continue to frequent them, just trying to pour gas on a fire. There is a certain poster in my mind that I, as well as many from the community, think is a real TURD EATER!!!!

GOOD LUCK RIDERS!!!!!

Well played game by Ready, and I said the same thing during this game that I said last game. Just keep it close enough to have a chance in the 4th quarter.

Well Ready had a chance, but I think they just lost to a better team.

I complained about the refs earlier and I still don't like the last couple possessions. Game tied under a minute and they call a foul away from the basket. And then for the game winner they call a foul on a blocked shot. As a fan of Ready, it's tough to lose a game due to officiating.

But with that said, I did think Orrville was the better team. Ready slowed them down and made the game ugly which allowed Ready to keep it close. But Orrville just made more plays.

There is no way you can give the officiating nod to either team. We could complain that Wasson got hammered all night and got very few calls just as easy. I liked the fact that the refs let them play....if they hadn't I think 4-5 guys on each team woulda fouled out early. I think both teams played about as good a defense as you can play. We never got in a rhythm offensively and I credit Ready's defense. There star certainly didn't get into a rhythm and I credit our defense. Really good High School basketball game. In regards to Sam Miller at the line....if an outsider would look down the roster and pick by free throw % who to have at the line...they would not pick Sam.....but......we Riders know him....he was made for a moment like that, he had no doubt, how do they say it...ice in his veins!

What a great game! Way to go Riders!!!

Have to say that it brought back some memories being in columbus...as a former player on a state title team.... and now as a spectator!

Keep it going Orrville...may as well bring home the gold!

I agree that for the most part the officiating was good. But I just HATE to see such a good and hard fought game come down to the final minute and left for the refs to call an off the ball foul and then a foul on a block with 2 seconds left.

You just have a hard time saying congrats without a what if......there is no way a Reedy fan can complain to an Orrville fan about officials after our little affair in football some years back. You lost today, we won. No ifs, ands or but(t)s.

What does a past football game have anything to do with?

Orrville won and I said congrats. But like I said it stinks that it came down to the officiating. I'm not saying READY (yes with an A) would have won in an OT, but it would have been nice it the game was determined by the players playing the game and not at the free throw line.

Hey dynasty if the kid does not foul Sam at the end of the game, he lays the ball in for 2 points, at least this way he had to work for it a little.

Fouls
Ready 18
Orrville 17

Graessle is a very nice player...but was forcing shots a lot. He was 6-20 from the field and that included 2-11 from 3 pt. range. He's got great court vision...enjoyed watching him. Our combination of Pirman and Hoobler were in his face all night and frustrated him at times.

A typical Orrville team wilts after Ready goes on that run....but these kids are special. Went from being up 8, to down 5 in just 4 minutes. They reflect their coach in so many ways....hard working, humble, competitive.

That 3 from Jake was a bomb...the collective groan from the crowd when he shot it, followed by the applause after he nailed it was awesome.

And what can you say about Sam Miller....his nickname is now "money." Just like the Genoa game...he shows up when it's "money" time. 12 points and 6 boards, and 2 of the 2 biggest free throws in his life, and maybe even Orrville history. Clutch.

Dynasty......My point exactly...and I quote "Orrville won and I said congrats. But like I said it stinks that it came down to the officiating" Now try one more time and this time leave out the "But" and you'll almost have a real true congratulations without strings attached...You are almost there...keep trying....

Thedynasty- Really? I would say the ref did not determine the outcome but your player fouled. Sam drained them and now you can sit at home on Saturday!

Great job Riders! Players, fans, and Coach! One more to go! Go and Finish the job!

That's the most basketball I've seen being played from the floor. Lots of floor burns tonight. It certainly was a physical game but it was called evenly on both ends of the court. If it was on the other end of the court, it still would have been a foul. The ref didn't decide the game, Sam Miller and his ability to make clutch free throws in a game winning situation decided the game.

I agree Red Rider on Graessle...special player. The defensive combos we put on him with Pirman's long frame....Hoobler's physical play and Dillon and Sam with their quickness never let him get going. And Dynasty....I know how to spell Reedy! haha from a an Orville Red Raider fan!

if the ref doesnt call a foul he wouldnt have laid it in, it was blocked...would have went to OT...2 me Orrville is just a bigger version of Ready and that was the difference in the game....so, where is the all state gaurd from Orrville going? that was a bomb he made, from nearly out of bounds by the coaches box!!!
