Last I checked the NBA slame dunk champion is about 5'6" so if you can play you can play. I also beat that Ready has been the same hight all year and have won a lot of games. This will be a very tough game!

What sort of crowd does Orrville bring? I am guessing that Ready will not bring much of a crowd.

Culbertson certainly isn't 5'1", but I'm not sure he's 5'9" either.

I know Lima CC and Ready are both private, and I think the other 2 are public. But that's just D3. And no, Ready doesn't recruit. Almost everyone on the team has had an older sibling go through Ready.

Ready will bring a big crowd, I hope Orrville does the same. It's a much more memorable experience when both sides have good crowds. It's obviously much easier for the Ready fans to get to the game though. And the other advantage is that Ready fans can drink at their favorite watering holes before the game as well. I'll be at Varsity Club early if anyone wants to stop by.

Really? I just assumed that since Ready is a city catholic school they would bring a "Bedford Chanel" type of crowd.

I am a hs hoops junkie, so I love the atmosphere that fans that support their school with big numbers bring.

Orrville has the home seating, with sections 131 students, 128, 134, 231, 232, 330, 331, 332 for the fans.

I figured Orrville was the type of school that will bring the whole town. Last time Ready played in the states they played Clearfork in the Finals and Clearfork had a really good crowd.

Ready has great fan support and isn't your traditional inner city catholic school. I would think Ready will sell out their allotment, however with the game time at 2:30 I'm not sure if everyone will be as willing to take off work.

My mom picked up my ticket from the school yesterday, but I'm not certain at what section I'll be in.

I was there watching that one 54-51 Clear Fork in 2002, an interesting fact is that Clear Fork beat Cle. Central Catholic in the semis. By the way Clear Fork and Orrville are in the same league.Hmmmmmm very interesting.

And wasn't Coach Kiper Clear Fork's coach that year, who used to coach JV at Triway, who is one of Orrville's rivals and beat Orrville in basketball in the regular season this year (but lost to them in district final)? And on a side note, Kiper's girls basketball team at Myrtle Beach HS in South Carolina won the big school state championship this year.

I was on that team that lost in 2002, so let's not discuss it too much in detail.

Yea, I'm somewhat familiar with the league as I played against Clearfork in the Championship game, and then went to Ashland to play in college. So, I was familiar with the surrounding schools, but heard more about Ashland High and the Mansfield schools moreso than the others.

Crazy thing is, my senior year I lived in a house with Clearfork's starting PG, Rich Hoover. I actually became pretty good friends with him and two other guys from the team and they never let me forget that they have state championship rings.

Schotts not basketball viewer friendly (other than the close seats) and those are terrible seats for the playing teams fans, but this is all about what? $$$ Why not have the lower tiers numbered seats with 2 sections for students and players parents (somewhere near the center). The rest of the lower sections to politicians, coaches, etc. and the rest open seating. Then at least you could be in the middle of the court and see something. There's no way it will be sold out and fans of the teams will be sitting behind the basket with open seats in the middle.

Yeah, ask Kent Smith how he has managed front row seats all these years. It's disgusting how the participating schools have the worst seats in the house and center court is the "dignataries" or friends who just sit there bored and quiet and go to the hospitality rooms not concession stands. It should be at least 1/3 to 1/2 the teams fans on each side, the students on the end and eliminate so much seating for the old boys clubs!

As for the seating, when a corporation or individual buys a seat license, do they basically own those seats for every event that takes place, or does someone just buy a seat license for certain events such as mens basketball season tickets?

I know most of the best seats are seat licenses, and that may be the reason why the teams fans get the shaft? Not that it makes it any better either way though.

Seating stunk at St John too....1 section on the corner in the lower bowl (usually ate up by parents of players/cheerleader) and everyone else is up in the balcony.

the only good thing was that it seated only 13000.....I imagine everything will be worse at an arena that seats almost 20,000.

Best seats go to the dues paying schools. Been that way forever and it wont change.

It's cool for the players...but stinks for the fans.

Saw the girls games only drew around 5000-6000 per game...and 1 ticket got you in to both semifinal games per division.
