Right here..whats up?

Wow, the midseason is wide open this year? You sure went out on a limb there...
Yup, I sure did...and you were whinning because I, at that time, didn't have Kansas as the overwhelming favorite. ;)

Anyway, and seriously...the game was shocking to say the least. After watching Kansas at seasons end....I believed they were headed to the final four, at the very least.
But I will also say one thing....and it was surprising to be honest....the look on Self face and his team that last 5 min was not one of a #1 confident team. It was a deer in headlights. Kansas composure down the stretch was very surprising to me....even though they made a furious comeback of sorts...you just had the feeling they were in dissaray and not confident. Very odd...

I'd say about 85% of brakets are officially ruined by this...your not in the minority, thats for sure.

Self and Williams are both very capable coaches and have proven it on a number of occasions. Northern Iowa played a heroic game and seemed to almost be destined to win that game. And the "shot"? Wow! That would not be something that any coach would have wanted. Had it missed and Kansas had won, can you imagine the number of critical posts aimed at that single play?

Exactly.

Add in the fact that Egsleder hit 2 out 3 three-point shots and you have the recipe for an upset.

Egsleder was 3/12 shooting 3's this season.

I know its not exactly the same but its like when a coach does an onside kick at an interesting point in the game or when they go for it on 4th and short... If they get it it is a great play if they don't the coach is an idiot(See Saints in the SB for the onside kick and then Pats/Colts game for going for it on 4th and short).

But for him to do that was just huge especially since he was 0-6 from 3 in the second half.

I didn't get to see the game, but honestly I'm not in complete shock. I thought Kansas was one of the better teams this year, but all year I felt like they were missing something. I know that's easy to say now, but I just always thought Kansas was a very good team, not a great team. I actually really wanted to see OSU play them, because I thought OSU would have caused them a lot of problems. But I'm much happier to not have to face them because they were going to be a tough out.

Today's game might end up being OSU's toughest competition through the region.

Tennessee will be your toughest competition. Well, depends on which one shows up. They did beat the #1 and #2 teams in the country and looked good yesterday.

And this means nothing to most people, but I'm heading out to a bar to watch the games today...I have my Kansas gear on. So next time someone wants to call me a bandwagon fan and that I only root for them because Kansas is a good program, remember that I support KU even in their worst moments.

Much respect. Rep your team. Forget all that "bandwagon" talk. If they're your team and you've stuck with them through thick and thin....that's what matters IMO.

Yeah, that loss sucked last night. Opens up the region for OSU to maybe make the final 4 if they can get past Tennessee.

Agreed. People like Captain Jack and fson are idiots.

Some of my proudest moments as a Duke fan are after losses in the NCAAs. I remember walking outside the Shcott before state tournament games in '07 wearing all Duke blue. I must have heard "Duke sucks!" in loud, annoying, singing-like voices (you know the kind) from 50 people that whole weekend.

I love it.

And they were also beat by BAD teams like USC and Georgia. Absolutely drilled by Fla and UK late in season as well. I think they are a team, that if you get them down and put foot on their throat...they tend to pack it in and do nothing but try to win a game individually.

Some fat fuck Michigan State fan said something to me as I was walking out, and see, the good part about living in America is that most people here are obese so you always have that route as a comeback...I simply told em the bar has a great salad selection and he should try one of those every now and then. Then his ratty son said "kansas lost HA HA HA!" so I gave em a "michigan state sucks"

I feel better about myself.

Hey man, it could be worse. Be glad you're not an IU fan--especially living in Big Ten country. LOL, I would have loved to be a #1 seed and lose in the 2nd round this year!

As I said, depends which Tenn shows up. If Tenn plays good bball I will take them by 6. If they play bad bball I will take OSU by 14. Tenn is unpredictable.

Exactly, and thats why they are who they are...not a top 10/15 team. Good teams are consistant, and get it done even on bad days. Tenn isn't capable of doing that. I am not saying they can't beat OSU..they can. But they will have to play very well, and OSU be off their game for them to win this game IMO. OSU is a very versitle team who can flat out shoot the ball, and get to the rim. They are a difficult team to defend. On top of that, they have the best player in the country. If both teams play well...OSU will win by 7-10pts. OSU is the better team here.
