I heard from a student at the school that they are combining with Grand River Academy to form a team. I'm not sure how that is allowed or if that is true, but the student told me that he attended a meeting and was planning on playing. I think it's great if true, give kids the opportunity to play.hrspeedmerchant wrote: Has anyone heard if Ashtabula Sts. John & Paul will be fielding a team this fall? Last year they didn't have enough players to have a team so they cancelled the season.

gyea36.....It would appear your information is correct. I don't know how the OHSAA views such an arrangement, but I don't believe they'd qualify for any playoff action with such a limited schedule anyway.

I had heard Linsly was supposed to be pretty good this year. Have a lot returning, not saying its true but just what I have heard.

They are an up or down team. Either they are good or they stink. This year does look up for the Cadets. And yes, I believe Mel Blount's kid does play for them.neohfan wrote: I had heard Linsly was supposed to be pretty good this year. the good news for dalton is they return most of their guys, the bad news is they lost some very good ones. Who steps in at offensive tackle and at LB are the two spots to watch for Dalton this summer. They return most of their skill players and the interior of their o-line as well as all of their db's and most of the d-line.

wow, that has to be up there with the toughest d6 schedules in the state. i'm surprised they scheduled sharon and wilmington, but especially sharon. they've had nice teams in the past, anyone know how they are looking this coming year?

Yeah, it does seem to be a difficult schedule if you're going by the size of the schools that JFK has scheduled. All ten of the opponents are DV or larger, but I have no idea how the various teams' will be on the field.gyea36 wrote: wow, that has to be up there with the toughest d6 schedules in the state. i'm surprised they scheduled sharon and wilmington, but especially sharon. they've had nice teams in the past, anyone know how they are looking this coming year?
We'll see.

I really wish that South Range/JFK game was on a Saturday or Thursday. I would LOVE to some watch this game. If Mogadore didn't have a home game on Friday I might. This game should/could be a great one. What a way to start the season with two great programs.

I see it changing a lot. The three elite teams are not going to be as good. If any team has a chance to break through, it would be this year.bridgeport;374874 wrote:This region is always good and i dont see it changing.
