Never liked Pelosi...her voice annoys the shit out of me
Wow. You honestly are going to sit there and say that the government taking over 1/6th of the economy isn't going to raise taxes? Is there some magical money fairy that is going to pay for this?

How does taxing everyone and passing it around in a form of free medicine gonna generate jobs?

unemployment will stay double digits, shit I might just quit my job. No need to work. Welfare and free insurance. Sounds good.
Any proof
You dont think that this monster bill wont raise taxes on every single person in this country? Your a fool.
I'm against the bill in current form, but that is a stretch. I doubt everyone's taxes will go up.

Also, dear God leave Teddy out this.

That's because almost half of the country already pays no taxes at all. Everyone else's will go up.

You should read David Frum's take on why that is not much of a consolation prize compared to the ramifications of this having passed. Very depressing.

Anyone who thinks the idea of the government having so much power to control 1/6th of our economy is a truly frightening person. That is terrifying.

I'm speaking in terms of you guys claiming everyone's taxes are going to go up

Why did you post the same article 3 times?

Well, technically, that is not everyone. Since half the country pays no taxes. So, the correct phrase would be, "all tax payers taxes will go up."

Even then, I'm not sure that will happen specifically with this bill.

Just give me the same health insurance that all public employees who work for us are given.

Listening to Major Garrett right now, it sounds like Anthem Blue Crosses bonehead decision to raise rates 40% on individuals and small businesses after Scott Brown's victory served as a major spring board to go big and go for it all instead of doing the incremental approach it was assumed would have to be taken when they lost the super majority. Very interesting.

I'm suprised that 27 dems have voted "no" so far.

Pleasantly suprised!

Well, everyone go get your government approved health care. Anyone want to take a guess what is the next sector of the economy to be taken over by the government?

They only need 216. They let the others vote no so it appears they aren't in favor.

Oh, I don't know. I still have faith that some of my fellow democrats have some common sense ;)

Bill is passed, now the other two votes. Now, some disorder going on in the House.

Just a note guys, watch the personal attacks. I know tensions are high, but keep it civil.

Yeah, very interesting. It sounds like English Parliament, only the members aren't drunk (I think).
