Triway played a great 1st half...Bears defense was like swiss cheese....not the best play calling. 28 -14 Triway lead at halftime. Bears come out and look like a different team in the 2nd half.....better play calling offensively and better def. Ref had on purple underwear!!! Hideous!!!! Blatant holding, block in the backs, pass int. And to end the game, last :06 sec the ref bobbled the ball...fumbled the ball and didnt get the ball set....Triway was the better team tonight the 1st half...Bears won the 2nd hALF.....Refs blew some calls....Great night of ball for both teams...Bears come up short, Triway wins 41-34. Carmichael had around 500 yds passing and Polen had around 200 rushing prob...lol...Pittman...give us the stats!!!!!

It was also a pleasure for 4Rinzgz...he got a chance to meet the legendary BEAST!!!! Unfortunately...he was trying to peddle gay porn... ;) Nice talking to ya Mr 4ringz!

ugly win by the bulldogs tonight - they came out very flat. I will credit timken's defense however. Good, no, but much better than last year. Their offense is still anemic although they have a decent TE.

Smithville fell apart in the 2nd half against Aquinas after leading for the entire 1st half and at halftime 14-10... 31-14 Aquinas

Play was stopped for 15 minutes with around 4 minutes left in the game when Jonathan Roseler was injured, he was carted off the field to a waiting ambulance but was moving his arms and legs. Hopefully the injury wasn't to serious and we'll see Rosey playing next week!!

Miyagi,

I know you have a hard on for Ashland county teams in the WCAL, but we have to credit Hillsdale with their victory over Loudonville. WCAL 2-6.

Northwestern gives up 28 points in the second half on the way to a 35-14 drubbing. After scrapping to a 7-0 halftime defecit the adjustments by Moggy were just too much for the Huskies to handle in the second half. Disappointed with some of the cheap shots and late hits from the Mogadore kids-not necessary with the team they put on the field. Keep your heads up boys-you played tough teams and never quit, heal up and get ready for Norwayne next week.

Wow - hope roseler is ok for Smithville. Great athlete. That is scary.

I really like where the Bears are at going into league play. Casto had a monster night and our sophmore backs both looked really good. We will score points in the league games. I even like the D once Cleaver is back from an injury. Definately want to see Mullins in more on D. He takes up two linemen which will free up others to get to the QB.

Beast - you are right on about the calls tonight. Triway linemen were dragging our guys down, grabbing jerseys, anything they could do to stop the rush and not one holding call. Nice team though and they will not lose many games. The Polen kid was amazing doing it all on both sides of the ball. We get that on-side kick with 2 minutes to go though and we win the game. Triway could not stop our offense in the fourth quarter.

Keep your heads up Bears. With nearly all new starters and a tough non-league schedule I look for you to make some serious noise in the league this year. One game at a time starting with Rittman in 7 days.

Waynedale played tough and never allowed the knock out punch to be delivered. Great qb and some serious hands on those recievers. A couple of ridiculous circus catches were crazy.

Don't cheapen the effort your team's efforts by claiming the officials were against you. Holding could.be called on every play in every football game.

Nice to meet you and your family too beast.

Good luck once the league season starts Bears

Yes, our boys looked very flat especially the offense. We also had WAY too many penalties to be effective. I agree with you 1486, Timken did look a heck of alot better this year, much more energy and discipline.
We better be ready for Smithville next Friday...................

Don't rule Rittman out. I look for Rittman to be a winner over Norwayne! It is Rittman's homecoming and last year the the only scorer for Norwayne was a Senior.

I wasn't at the game, so I can't comment good or bad. However, if this is true I'm sorry as this is NOT a typical "Mogadore" thing. They are typically a team that is offering a hand to a knocked down opponent, and play with good sportsmanship.

Saw some of the players at the fair this weekend-got stories of the typical ankle twisting and such but also saw visible signs of non-typical wear and tear like choke marks around one players neck and scratches around the eyes and face to another-one of our guys during the game lost both of his contacts because a rake to the face. Eye gouging and choking is a little extreme. Like I said before they are a talented group and can go far without that behavior.

Aggressive play is one thing, but play within the rules.
