For those who whine about what teams I like or say bandwagoning. Since all of you seem to forget why I like who I like........well here you go. I shouldnt have to post anything anyways because Its a free country and I can cheer for whoever I want. Living in Ohio isnt a law that you have to love OSU. There are plenty of posters on here who like different teams in football and basketball.
As for UK, my whole family both sides are from Kentucky and no other state. Not one family member came from Ohio. Ive been a fan of UK since about 6 years old when Kenny Sky Walker played. Ive went through the KSW, Chapman, Mashburn, Sutton probation years, etc. Anyone who is from Kentucky would know how UK bball fans are and how you cant- not be one. Its the only real sport for the state since there is no pro teams. Being a fan of a team for 25 years is longer than anyone on this site for UK, and that is not bandwagoning.
In the 90's I went to football games with my dad, not caring for UK in football.I went to there midnight madness' on the same w/e usually. I liked/bandwagoned the Miami Hurricanes because they were good and had cool hats/t shirts.....but I wasnt really a true fan of them. During the 90's is when I first watched LSU in person going into the game not thinking much about them. Now, if I started liking LSU in 2006 I would be a bandwagon fan, or even since after winning a title in 03 that might count as a bandwagon fan. BUT>>>>> I started liking them before they won any titles. How in the world was I suppose to like UK in football, its not like they were ever any good. Plus Im a fan of purple/yellow teams evidently since Ive been a Vikings fan since the Anthony Carter days (before H. Walker).

I can admit I try to drive it down people's throats about the SEC at times........or alot of times. But, its no different then 90% of OSU posters who have nothing else better to do than rip on me, my beliefs, who always use cuss words towards me to disrespect me on purpose because of my beliefs, rip on the SEC or who I root for in football and bball. Over the years Ive been ripped on as much as anyone can..........and should I just put up with it, or should I defend myself or defend a conference who you guys continually try to rip on or bring down? You guys dont see it as wrong when you gang up on me since you are all of the same fan base and back each other up.

I will try to calm down on the bashing of OSU fans and hopefully you guys can do the same. If you rip on me or my teams, then you will have to expect me to defend as should you.

And as for the other thread, I never said Turner wasnt good. I said he shouldnt get the award because he missed 20% of the season. Of course you guys will want Turner to win, and of course I want Wall to win since Im a UK fan. Doesnt that make sense?

Look I kind of understand what your saying. But you cant call yourself a real fan if you only root for certain schools in certain sports(like ONLY kentucky in bball and ONLY LSU in football. That is a bandwagon fan. I am an OSU fan and no matter who they play in any sport I will be rooting for them. However, there are other teams I do generally root for.. like Kentucky in bball, texas in football (once again, not against osu). I think its ok to root for other teams but you still have to have that 1 favorite team. Not pick and choose because one school is good at one sport and is mediocre at another. Who do you root for when LSU plays Kentucky??

Its hard for him because his teams are only good in certain sports where Ohio State is in the Top 10 in football and basketball.

I don't really have a problem with bandwagon fans and I don't care who people choose to root for. I haven't followed enough of your posts to know why people dislike you so much, but I don't have a problem with it.

Cheer for whoever you want. I'm a Browns fan, but would rather watch the Steelers or Ravens play because they are better. I'm a Reds fan, but the only MLB team I'll watch are the Yankees. I'm an OSU fan, but I really enjoy watching Kentucky in basketball (with Calipari) and USC in football.

Am I fan of those programs? Maybe, because I have an interest and enjoy watching their games. I'm sure there are some on here that would say that I'm not allowed to root for USC in football and be an OSU fan at the same time, but guess what, who cares?
