Any suggestions??? Jigsaw, router, or circular saw?? Special blade? Please help!!!

circular saw ... fine tooth blade .... mark where you want to cut ... put masking tape on top of mark completely across countertop and then make mark again on top of tape ... that will keep it from chipping laminate.

Circular saw with a sharp blade works fine, tape off where you're going to cut and mark your line on the tape, this prevents chipping of edges of the laminant.
Cuttin gets a little tricky if the backsplash is attatched but it can be done
