I agree. This site really needs to focus on developing its high school sports forums. Maybe we need to do an advertising campaign on FaceBook or something.

The HS Football forum was really starting to pick up the pace as the playoffs were ending. That forum was started after the regular seaon ended. HS Football forum will be fine. I am highly disappointed in the HS Basketball forum though.

Those felons have their own niche in society. It might be a niche for being the bottom in a pound-you-in-the-ass federal pen, but it's still a niche.

Laughed out of court? Unlikely. Winning? Unlikely. But the fact that he wouldn't have resources to fight it was the whole point that a law suit was a distinct possibility. Never said the purpose would be to win financial damages, said it was about forcing a change and/or a shutdown.

I am also surprised at the traffic or lack thereof over at some of the other forums. Notably college basketball. It does fine, but you'd think it would be crazy at this time of year)

He could have avoided this whole situation had he named it something different from the start.

But the fact that he wanted to do this out of spite is going to cost him.

A lot of people wanted it out of spite.

I don't see it "costing" Justin. I have no doubt he will comply with any legal requests.

This sight clearly served it's purpose in the marketplace by providing an avenue for many folks that wanted to remain together in an open forum yet not pay to do so.

A name change won't change the impact of what has been accomplished.

Like I said in the other thread, had he named this forum what is it now from the start would have kept this whole mess from happening.

I think we're actually in violent agreement here. :)

The only question at this point is what their purpose is. Pique? I'd buy that if Anshole still owned the site, he was and is incredibly immature. If they believe there's anything practical left to be gained, they're flat dreaming IMO. That site is dead, it's just on what day it stops breathing.

Well, it's not a mess for any of us anyway.

Point is, if Justin has any intentions of increasing traffic, the name should have some thought put in to it. If, as he's stated before, just simply considers and is going to consider it a "hobby" and more or less gave all us refugees a haven to remain linked together, then it really doesn't matter what the hell he calls it.

I think we're all able to assist in whatever way he wants to go, he should drop a dime on how he feels about it before we get our panties in a wad though.
