ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA) - Fire officials confirm that at least three people have been shot at the Pentagon Metro station.

First responders are rushing the victims to local hospitals.

Several officers are on the scene.

We'll have more information as it becomes available.

I've been where the shooting happened many times, and trust me, the guy didn't get far. There are armed guards with MP5s all over the place.

Plus, he was a couple hundred feet from the entrance to the Pentagon, which requires metal detectors, guards and searching. He was by the metro entrance there off to the side.

Still, pretty scary.

Someone said the news in DC and Northern Virginia are reporting he was a big shot with the Tea Party Patroits in DC

Yeah that guy was getting nowhere. That place on on lockdown and you can't move without being monitored.

I have a friend who is a Pentagon cop and he says crazy stuff happens down there all the time. Always Chinese people trying to take pictures or some crazy people trying to scout the outside of the Pentagon.

Of course someone on CNN would say that.

If he was a big player in the tea party movement his name would have appeared somewhere on the internet, but it doesn't outside of news stories.

It is being reported the shooter is in critical condition, while the 2 officers are not in serious danger. Good for the dickhead!! Id not mind seeing him die.

You have to give it to the guy though. Takes some balls to launch an attack on the Pentagon with a handgun.

I think it has less to do with having balls and more to do with being extremely stupid.
