Ya, what killer said too. Slingshot, you can't tell me they aren't one of the top 64 teams in the country right now

It sounds like you dislike the Big East conference.

That explains it.

Notre Dame, after their play in recent weeks, is in. Connecticut is clearly out. The only team that is going to get the Big East 9 teams in is going to be Seton Hall, but for now, they aren't in.

8 bids for the Big East, and it's pretty clear cut.

Syracuse
West Virginia
Villanova
Pittsburgh
Georgetown
Louisville
Marquette
Notre Dame

Connecticut, Cincinnati, South Florida and Seton Hall were all in NCAA discussions, but none have gotten it done.

Question regarding Harangody and the NCAA selction committee with injuries. Do they take into account that Gody is back now and they were better without him so maybe with him on the team they dont deserve it??:D:D

I kid, I kid....Coach Brey deserves a lot of credit for the Irish's end to this year.

ND probably will be in, doesn't mean I have to agree that they deserve it, opinions are a crazy concept huh? What bothers me about the Big East is the fact that every year the main topic of conversation around this time is that they will put more teams in the tourney than any other conference.

The problem is that it isn't a fiar comment when they have 16 teams in their league compared to all other leagues that only have 10-12 teams.

For example, The Big 12 will put 7 teams in the toruney this year which is over half of the teams in the conference. The Big East will probably put in 8. Based on a percentage standpoint, that isn't as good as the Big 12.

To say that a conference is better because they put more teams in the tournament isn't relevant when that conference has more teams that have the ability to make the tourney.

Honestly.....you come across as a Big East hater.

I am somewhat for the reason stated above. In the end the media is who is responsible for my feelings toward the conference.

ND could be a sleeper.

They played well as a team without Harangody and now they get him back.

Which I dont think is a good thing. He can become a black hole (which isnt all that bad because he is effective), but the offense is so stagnant when he is in the post. No movement etc.

He is also a pretty terrible defender (to put it nicely) and it effects the whole team on rotations. Leads to a lot of open shots for the opponent. If they dont help, well he just isnt good enough to stop his man 1 v 1 for the period of a whole game.

Its not so unusual for a team to play better when they lose a good player. Rest of team knows they have to pick up the pieces, and often times play harder with more sense of urgency. The question is, how long can that be sustained?
I honestly haven't been watching ND much at all. But as mentioned above, I wonder how the return of Harongody will affect ND.
I think ND is in right now. But they are living on the edge and things could change quickly....a quick out in the BET wouldn't shock me with this team as you never know what to expect. Which isn't a good thing when your a coach.

Bracketology actually has us listed as a 9 seed now. A serious run in the BE Tourney, which is possible if you look at the draw, and ND could be in good position next Sunday
