Meijer mostly
There is a Kroger on my way home so I usually do a little shopping there.
Usually Carfagna's for my high quality meats.

OU has markets that you can exchange meals on our meal plan for grocerys and stuff. If something I need isn't there then I'll hit up CVS up town since its in walking distance.

Recently switched from Walmart to Krogers. Krogers has a much better selection, and with their points for gas and Kroger discounts, I've found the cost difference is negligible.

Harriss Teeter for stuff on sale (otherwise too expensive) and Walmart other times. Used to go to Food Lion's but it is too trashy in there. I wish there was a Publix here. It is the GOAT.

Kroger for me. Occasionally Meijer, but the clientele is interesting at my local one. Kroger has good deals and I like the atmosphere of my local store.

1. For cereal, canned goods, bread, cookies, etc. Aldi without a doubt. Even Wal-Mart can't compete with their pricing and the food is generally as good as most name-brand items. I easily save $50 or more on groceries when I shop at Aldi.
2. Wal-Mart would be #2. Much better pricing than most other supermarket chains BUT the selection isn't as large.
While I'm picky on certain items like ketchup (must be Heinz), mayo (must be Miracle Whip), etc. I almost always opt for store brand items for most everything else. Why pay for the packaging and advertising of the name-brand stuff? I've never understood people who insist on blowing $$$ entirely on name-brand stuff.
I know people who wouldn't be caught dead in Aldi and think they're slumming it when they pick-up a jug of milk at Wal-Mart. And when they shop at their favorite high-dollar store they not only pay more but they INSIST on nothing but name-brand. I don't get it.

I can tell you where I DON'T shop-- Walmart! The last time I was there, I nearly started a riot. I am partially crippled and I have to use an electic cart when I go into one of those big stores. Walmart's aisles were so narrow and so crowded with people that I couldn't get through. I finally found an opening in the crowd so I gave it the gas. The cart went a lot faster than I anticipated. Just then some asshole jumped in front of me. I turned the cart and crashed into a 6' display of hair curlers. I knocked the whole damn display down on top of me and the other shoppers. There were hair curlers everywhere. I even got three of them stuck under the wheels of the cart. Needless to say, I got the hell out of there as soon as I possible could.
