I bought Bubble Bobble 2 when I was little, if I hadn't open it, a sealed copy is worth in the hundreds I believe. I always had Metal Gear Solid 2 on PS2 (I believe an unopened version of this is really rare). My investment on this game would have been around $40 and now it's worth about $800 unopened. (When I say worth, I mean actually selling for on ebay).
I also had Final Fantasy VII on PS1 -- I believe it's expensive unopened as well.

Funny you started a thread like this as I just saw an article about a factory sealed, unopened copy of Nintendo Stadium Events (the holy grail of nintendo games) sold on Ebay a week ago for $41,300.
Imagine going through your old games and finding a gem like that.
