ESPN saying it's a bacterial infection in the intestines. Not sure what that really means or why he might not ever be able to fight again. One would think some kick ass antibotics would fix it in a week or two. Or White is just being overdramatic to buildup his comeback after nearly "dying".

The problem with the kick ass antibotics is it can throw your yeast levels in your blood way out of whack. I watched this happen to my Dad when he had a Stapf infection in the hospital. Less than a week later he was gone.

The UFC's heavyweight division is looking pretty thin at the top right now. With Lesnar's illness, and the major staph infection that Minotaro Nogueirra is battling, they need guys like Shane Carwin and Cain Velasquez to step up big time in the interim. The UFC has been stating that their heavyweight division is the deepest anywhere, but you can't tell me that they wouldn't love to have somebody like Brett Rodgers, Josh Barnett (if he could pass a piss test) or especially Fedor to carry that division right now.

Thanks, it was years ago and Dad was pretty sick with other health issues too.

I know Brock is in a lot better condition health wise than my Dad was. I'm sure he'll recover.

It's just weird how something that is supposed to help you can hurt you. I guess it that way with all Meds. Even Tynenol.

...And yes I work in a Pharmacy (but, not a pharmacist)

Intestinal bacterial infections can be nasty since you already have a crap load (pun intended) of bacteria there for good purposes (food digestion). So, if it gets infected there are already a ton of bacteria there that are good and can head to the bad side from what I understand. So an infection in the intestines can get really serious.

at least they know what's going on.

I don't care what any of you say, Lesnar is my favorite fighter and I was really bummed by this.

Hope to see him go again, but can't fault him for not wanting to come back after this ordeal.

Yeah I started watching UFC and MMA when he started fighting because I wanted to see how he stacked up. Been hooked ever since.
