Pitt now 21-6 and 10-4 in the Big East

remaining games

at Notre Dame
at St. John's
Providence
Rutgers

A couple of semi-tough road games but if they can win those games, they'll have a nine-game winning streak to close the regular season.

Nova coming back to earth a bit. Lost twice this week, still have to to Cincinnati, to Syracuse and host West Virginia. #1 seed slipping out of their hands.

Pitt looked good today. Getting hot at the right time. Curious how many spots they move up tomorrow?

Pitt should be top 10. But they won't, and frankly I don't get it. Is there a top 10 team with better wins?

The nature of the polls. Besides Villanova (moving from 3), Gonzaga (moving from 9) and Georgetown (moving from 10, lost to #5), nobody lost, so Pittsburgh doesn't move ahead of that many teams.

As for the quality wins, that is very true, but the polls don't go by resumes. They should, but once you are at a certain level, you only usually move back if you lose, not if someone wins more impressively or against better competition.

You can also argue that G-Town did win at Pittsburgh...
