Coming into this Olympics I had always considered this very boring. Im not saying they are athletes or anything, but I have watched quite a bit of this event on TV the past several days. Ill even admit it. Anyone else find watching this event somewhat interesting?

Curling is definitely fun to watch. I can see how some people think it's boring, but when you actually make a point to understand how it works, it's pretty cool.

I have watched curling more than any other sport this year(and i think the networks have showed it more than other sports). its not much more different than other sports that involve strategy, exectution, defense, and offense.

I've become a HUGE fan of curling during this Olympics. I've watched every US men's and women's match in its entirety. Now, if this sport were on TV every week, it'd probably be like golf where I'd only watch the major events or event finals where some Tiger Woods-like superstar was participating.

I'm actually working on getting a group of friends together to sign up for a Learn-to-Curl clink at the Columbus Curling Club.

I am not kidding baseball is boring.
Did you always get picked last for dodgeball too?

I watched enough of the curling to see that Shuster got yanked outta the 4 hole, he wasn't comin' through.

Scoring seems similar to bocce?

Curling is fun to watch, especially when people from the foreign countries start yelling in different languages. It is a lot more strategic than I remember it being but that adds to the fun.

Yes, curling is basically bocce on ice, but with more skill and strategy involved. Closest to the center scores, if you have multiple stones closer to the center than the closest stone of the other team then all closer stones score. A stone has to be in the house (target) in order to score.

I've been wondering about the rules, I watch a few minutes here and there. To me it seemed like the rules were alot like horse-shoes/cornhole

I think people view curling like bowling. It looks so damn easy but not everyone can carry a 230 average in bowling nor can very many do what they do.

Why did you "TTT" this thread?
Out of spite, and humor. To show the poster that started a thread about Curling tonight that we've been doing this for 2 days?
