Id take Reynolds 2nd and Johnson 3rd. Wall would be my 4th choice.

Parrish has been all over Walls jock since the beginning of the year.

yes, barely. Wall is the best player in the country. I would take him #1 in the draft, and I think he has the most talent of anyone in awhile.

But Wesley Johnson and Scottie Reynolds play against MUCH better competition and are the leaders of the #3 and #4 ranked teams in the country (I personally think Cuse is #2, UK #3 and Nova #4). Wall is playing on the most talented team in the country. He is not the leader of the team (I say Patterson is).

Now, I have them all ranked so closely right now that a single game could switch around those 3 (Turner needs no explanation after watching him play this season).

I just think the numbers being put up (granted Walls are better) for Johnson and Reynolds is more impressive than what Wall is doing given the competition each has gone up against. The team concept is kind of moot as all 3 teams are #1 seeds, but that is still more impressive for teams from the BE to be #1 seeds than UK.

Again, jmo, and it could all change next game. But right now, John Wall is 4th in the POY voting for me.

I'll give you Turner, but not Reynolds or Johnson. This is in-terms of importance.

Ohio State without Turner and Kentucky without Wall simply wouldn't be nearly as good as they are. Villanova especially has the talent and depth, that given time, they could be as good or better without Reynolds who is a liability on defense and when he isn't making shots, because he takes a lot of bad shots. Johnson, as we've talked about, is a tough one, because I'm not sold on him being great against other great competition.

I'd agree with the above. I really wouldn't have a problem with Wall winning it because his team is better. I do think Turner is more valuable, but OSU will likely finish 3rd in the Big 10 and I think that hurts Turner. I don't think Kentucky loses again, and they will end up in the top 2. Often times it goes to the best player on the best team and I have no problem with it.

However, I would be a little surprised if Turner doesn't win it.

Well I just looked at Walls stats for the first time in 3 weeks. I have watched 2 UK games and he hasnt looked that great. Then I watched him the other day and he almost has a Triple Double. I was under the impression he was struggling more during conference play.

I agree. I am slowly being buying Turner because he is Ohio State. Without him, they aren't even in the NCAA discussion. I do think Kentucky would still be a top 10-15 with Eric Bledsoe running the point, and Villanova would be the same with all the young perimeter talent they have. Both of those teams, if you took Wall and Reynolds out of the mix from the start, would eventually find themselves only slightly worse at this point.

Probably more a result of the media crowning him the POY since November. Still scoring 17 a game, geting almost 6 APG and has had double digit rebounds in 2 of the last 3, so his production has pretty much remained the same all year. Quite honestly, the numbers of a freshman probably should go down slightly as he faces better competition in-conference than OOC, and combine this with a spike in Cousins' numbers since SEC play started and I'm surprised Wall's stats haven't fallen off more than they have. I just think he hasn't been able to live up to the God-like expectations people put on him so early, which were pretty lofty for anyone to live up to.

Also, the more we see Wall, the more you can notice that the guy DOES have some flaws. He is still turnover prone, and although he is the best transition player in the country and it's the reason he will go #1 in the NBA Draft, he still makes mistakes in the half-court and believe it or not, he's STILL very unselfish at times when it comes to trying to score. Defensively, he gets caught gambling and trying to start transition opportunities, which leads to him being out of position at times.
