Here are some aerial views of the renovations. It looks great and is almost completed.

My question to others, who may know the answer is this.

Are they going to add regular seating to here the press box once stood? In these pics. they have taken out the old press box, and there is just an empty hole. Are the simply putting in a new press box, letting the luxury seats come down a bit, or are the just going to add more seats (which is what I hope they do). I'm assuming they're just going to close it off with seats because all reports say that the capacity will increase once everything is done.

Judging by the hole left behind I would imagine there to be four sections added, can't think of an alternative use for the space that would be of any benefit.

Back in 2006 I visited the stadium on a Tuesday, you can actually just walk in anytime you want. I went in and walked around on the field, layed down in the endzone, all kinds of cool stuff.. even ran from endzone to endzone haha

I was there for the OSU game this year. That entire brick building on the SE corner is nothing but bathrooms. One the East Side, under the new towers is a couple bathrooms. So, yes they have added some more bathrooms and concessions. The only down side is that the men's room are no longer trough style, so the men's line takes longer than in the past. Well at least when I went to 1 particular bathroom at halftime.

the place is still a shithole. No more room, still sitting ass to ass in that place, might as well stand the whole game

I actually prefer standing when I go to any football game, so it doesn't bother me. Standing is better. I will say this though, standing room is even tight for some games.

This is a dumbass statement.

I don't like OSU, but I wouldn't call the shoe a shithole.

No its not. I stand by my statement. The place is a shithole, and it has a shitty team that plays in it right now

^^^ I agree I have been too many places. Osu, PSU, Nd etc Michigan is very bad to watch a game. Elbow to elbow is awful. Only stadium thats this bad. Sometimes cant even turn to move. Not the way to watch a game anywhere. Notre Dame is tight also , but not to the point where you dont have your own space.

Have a related ironic/funny story about the Big House. Was up in Ann Arbor watching a friends v-ball game. We saw the UM football equipment truck parked out back, so we got a picture of us givin the truck the bird. Literally 10 minutes later we drove by the Big House to get a closer look...and sure enough I got a flat tire right in front of it. Moral of the story....karma's a bitch haha.

I know, cool story bro...whatever, thought it was a funny story.

I've been to football games at OSU, Purdue, Northwestern, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota (Metrodome), and Michigan. From the outside, Illinois has the ugliest stadium I've been to. From the inside, Michigan was the worst however. I've never been in a more cramped place in my whole life. I sat next the three kids under the age of 12 and still had to sit with my arms straight out in front of me because there was no room for me to have them at my sides. I think the numbers on the bleachers were about 6 inches apart. Wisconsin is the second most cramped stadium I've been in.

Lol...this did give me a chuckle.

In other words Web, people think rennovating the press box and exterior is akin to spit shining a turd.

Yea when it is overdone like Michigan has. If OSU was like this I would say the same thing. The Stadium looks nice. But if you cant sit and enjoy a game without someone in your lap or an elbow in your side etc. What good is the looks then?
