No disrespect to Marion Local's volleyball team, but I can't imagine more than 10% of the people that go to that site (which nowadays would be what, 10 people? lol) care about volleyball or that article. We're right in the middle of the football playoffs and this is the bullshit they write about.

Well more then just football fans visit/visited that site. Are you going to criticize a news paper for writing an article about a local golf team, soccer team, volleyball team? Its ok to be upset about paying for the forums. I think the content should be pay.

Yeah, I can find plenty of reasons to bash the Huddle, but this isn't one of them.

Instead I would prefer to bash the thread starter for holding the ridiculous and archaic belief that only football and basketball matter. Sure, they are the revenue sports and have the most followers, and should get a fair amount of attention. But, that's no reason to pretend nothing else exists.

LOL, make an argument for someone else if you're going to go off like this. It is Ohio's best fall sports program right now, doesn't mean always. But you can't argue against them, they've had more success in their respective sport than anyone else in the last few years.

Marion Local has a strong sports tradition. Their football team is still alive in the playoffs after going 5-5 in the regular season

Their girls have won 3 straight VB titles and could make it four next year. Their first was a senior laden team. Coach didnt expect them to win it last year as they lost those seniors and team was predominantly sophs, but they did and went undefeated this season as mostly jr's.

I dont read the articles on that other site. In the past I had from time to time if a local school was the topic. When I did it woud be common to see errors in the story. Now, if you were reading about a team ya didnt know about you just assume it is factually accurate and it always is not.

Last year I think it was one of the main guys wrote a fluff piece on Trotwood Madison coach, Douglass, after he was accused or recruiting. The writer was snowed by Mr Douglass like ya wouldnt believe. The local paper had already reported his past indescretions (trying to get a teacher to switch a grade for a player so he could play, allowing non students of the school to practice with the team....(personally I thought that was almost like a tryout for the kid to see if Douglass would want him to transfer) and a few other incidents. About a week or so later the writer backpedaled a bit on the story admitting he was snowed.

As for ML being the best fall team.......welll......they might be the best ACCOMPLISHED team of fall sports right now. Anyone else in the fall have three straight state titles?

Reason why he was mad is because...it is VB...and it isnt from NE Ohio. I imagine if it was a VB team in NE ohio he woulda been al over it.
