wow. seems it would be easy to cover those beams with ice, or plastic, or something. that's a huge oversight by the designer/builder of that track.

just saw on NBC nightly news WOW what a tragedy, Need some netting up aroung track like they have on Hockey rinks, That was very sad for any parent , of any athlete in any sport.
