Its halftime during GB-Dallas (at least in my area), so I pose this question. I'll give my take after the game....have at it.

I voted for Sopranos, but that is because I have only watched a few episodes of The Wire. IMO, you cannot go wrong with any HBO show.

I opened this thread with the intent to click on The Wire, no matter what the other option was.
The Soprano's, while great, really dragged for me in the middle seasons.

GB-Dallas is over, as overrated (not that it was a bad show) as the Sopranos was, The Wire was underrated, Seasons 2-4 may have been the best episodes in the history of television. Great direction, great acting and unlike The Sopranos, there wasn't any fluff or wasted episodes. Every single scene mattered.

The Soprano's. I started watching The Wire, but just couldn't keep interested. I liked OZ, Six Feet Under, Deadwood and Carnivàle too.

Aside from the aforementioned, I'm also a fan of "Eastbound and Down" and "Hung".

Only 2 things that I had to watch on tv each week. The Sopranos and the Steelers. I still find myself watching reruns of the Sopranos on AE.
