RED- Again, canfield, poland, and howland will battle it out. Dont sleep on Niles tho, they were very young last season and could suprise some people with their spread offense. But my prediction in the red is Canfield.

WHITE- Salem is returning a lot of talented kids from last years playoff team, so they are the early favorite. I dont see Lakeview and Liberty as being much of contenders. So that leaves Struthers and Hubbard. Should be a good 3 way battle like in the red tier. My prediction is Struthers (they return 9 starters on both sides of the ball)

Red tier, wouldnt be surprised to see yet another 3 way tie between Canfield, Howland and Poland. Nils just doenst have the firepower to compete with those three just yet.
White tier, Salem is the clear favorite with everyone they return from last years playoff team. Hubbard, Liberty and Lakeview all will be rebuilding, Struthers may return a lot of starters but they showed really little last year of being able to compete.
Blue tier I think will be Campbell's to lose. Girard will still be tough but just lost to much.

Gotta like Salem in the White tier --- losing a great player in Eisel, but returning the vast majority of the team including a great QB. Already looking forward to Week 1.

Go Quakers !!!

Not a prediction, but does anyone know if any more teams are talking of leaving?

The speculation was always that the conference was on shaky ground, and once one (happened to be Salem) decided they're leaving others would follow.

I honestly can't see why anyone would want to leave a conference that sent half of its teams to the playoffs. Just my opinion.

How can you not love that kid!!!! He is an absolute beast on the field. Plain and simple. I at this point have him right there as player of the year as well.

Why do you and I agree lately??? lol.

If you pick anyone but Salem in the white tier, you have no idea what you're saying.

A lot coming back, and losing Eisel isn't a big a blow as it might look because Toothman is still going to have a very dangerous target out there. But we won't bring his name up, we'll let him make a name for himself when the season starts.

Higher expectations than usual, we'll have to see how they handle them--nothing on paper or anything that happened last year means anything, still gotta play the games.

I personally have played against this kid and he is an amazing kid and an amazing player. He is one of those kids who just loves to compete and loves the game of football.

I don't know how much of his highlight tape you guys watched, but in my opinion, I think he could move on to the next level as a linebacker. Great football instincts!

That's what the majority of people in Salem think too--at least from what I've seen. Great instincts on defense and a good sure tackler. Can't wait to see him play again this year--exciting player to watch.

Dana Balash (TV 21) reported last evening that Fitch, Boardman, and Jefferson Area have shown interest in the AAC.

11pm report definetly said All Sports for Fitch, perhaps an earlier report said otherwise because there was discussion about that (all But Football) on another site.

Could be, I did watch 6pm. I wondered why they would consider a move that didn't include football.

My brother said they said Fitch was all but Football, and Boardman wanted to go all in... this was the 6:00 news Monday?

This link seems to say all sports for everyone (I honestly have trouble believing that is the case)

I really hope Boardman makes this move for all sports. The extra travel expenses are stupid. They have better rivalries within the AAC.

Ytowngirl, you would like to think that is exactly the truth. But god forbid the upper egos and adults in charge have to admit that the move they made was flat out one of the dumbest moves we have ever seen in the history of High School athletics. There is no excuse to have kids traveling that far on school nights in the middle of winter to play JV volleyball games etc.........because certain adults are mad at certain high schools for whatever pathetic reason we continue to come up with as we continue to try to divide ourselves here in Ytown.

Boardman, Fitch, Canfield, Harding, Howland.....Poland to tier two. I know I know....but I would put Mooney in tier one and Ursuline in tier two as well. I know
I KNOW!!!!!! We are not allowed to talk to them.......shhhh...they are Catholic!!! SHHHH!!

I also know that Harding if I am not mistaken has joined another league in another galaxy or something. Amazing how we just cannot get it done without problems in this Valley. By the time the next season is half way through, at least two schools will be crying they want out of the AAC. Guaranteed.
