Or else say "you dicked us over like 80 years ago or something and we're still holding a grudge". Those are the 2 real most likely reasons. Or else be a man and say "I'm a big pussy and I'm scared of Notre Dame playing Ohio State every year cuz my friends are Ohio State fans and they'll make fun of me worse than they already do."

He is calling the fans out. Also, the things he is complaining about is the view that most of the fans on here seem to have.

Out for good this time, unless rock wants to keep going.

Are you that clueless? Your post is laughable, please, go back to the OSU threads and stay there............LOL, scared to play OSU, I want what he's smoking!

Again, I don't think you bothered to read that entire thread, you cite one post when Mooney was addressing the school mostly. There's some solid reasons why ND should remain independent and some solid reason for them to join a conference.

What kind of clout does a perennial 6-6 team with a 9 game consecutive bowl loss streak and 1 bowl win in 20 years have?

That's the elitism we are talking about from such a second(or third) rate program.

Why don't you start an ND soccer thread Kock Rnutne? You seem to know more about that worthless sport than you do football...oh wait...you ran your mouth about the Dago World Cup team and they sucked too...so basically you don't know shit about football (or) futbol, is that about right?

I still think the ethnic slurs are a bit much. It opens the door for slurs and negative comments about ALL races, ethnic groups, etc. How much is too much and how far can we actually go? I guess it's only a matter of time before "mick," "kike" and "spic" become the norm on here too. I'm not even that politically correct but this stuff just doesn't come across as good-natured ball busting. I'm guessing somebody will wanna say,"Stay off the site if you don't like it." Thing is, I can take it.....I'm just not crazy about it.

Anyways, not that it makes the current state of the program any better but ND has 4 (or 5 if you count January of 1990) Bowl wins in the last 20 years. Try to keep it factual, sleeper.

Come on Ewok, you know well as I do that in Sleeper's world college football doesn't count before the morning he woke up, saw on sportscenter that OSU hired Tressel, and then had a one man party till he passed out from exhaustion.

Oh sj, about the connection to the program part...yea i've got it. Im related to this guy named Brian Hartline..you might have heard of him.

drafted in the 3rd round as a junior. He is now catching touchdown passes for the dolphins, while taking former first rounder ted ginn's starting position mid season.

He also has a brother named Mike Hartline.

started qb for kentucky in 08.led them to a bowl victory over ecu. started in 09 then got injured in the south carolina game. only played in one game after that.

Oh, I'm also related to this person.

If you have followed high school track/cross country at all you have probably heard of her. Stephanie Morgan. She basically raped all competition every year at the state meet. Ranked the #1 womens distance runner in the nation coming out of high school. Could have went to to any college she wanted to and she chose Baylor. She did pretty well there as a freshman.

so gtfo out of here with your typical elitist notre dame attitude.

Pick 6............2 things...

1.) Did you go to Barnesville?

2.) I think SJ was pointing out his ties to Ohio State as proof to the fact that he doesn't hate the school and everything about it rather than saying,"I'm so awesome because I'm related to all of these OSU athletes." I might be wrong, but I don't think that he was trying to come off as better than others due to his relatives. He was attempting to show that he has an affinity for OSU due in part to his ties to OSU IMO.

This. LOLZ at pick6 for that rant. Someone got a little upset and crybaby-ish....sorta like how he says Notre Dame fans are.. :) If I were listing off athletic cousins and brothers/sisters, it'd be a long list and it'd start with her:

you know...the winningest tennis player in history... :D Then I'd throw out my state champ sister or my two sisters that played d-I....or how I was on my way to UT to play ball until a doctor said i had degenerative disk disease...then I'd start to list off some of my 60+ cousins and my aunts and uncles. we'd be here all fucking day. I did it simply to show that I love Ohio State and have had a connection to their sports programs for some time now. How you couldn't see that is beyond me...

And yeah I coached track the last two years, Stephanie Morgan is a monster. I've never understood how Ohio State is so bad at keeping the state's talent here. I'm pretty close friends with the Pendleton girls and they went to Michigan because the Ohio State coach said she wants them to gain weight! Now, the Pendleton girls are the best in the country, and pretty nice looking too. What a dumbass comment to say by the OSU coach. And I haven't even mentioned St. John's Riffle (Michigan) or Eastwood's Welch (Georgia). What the fuck Ohio State track get your shit together.

2010 Notre Dame Football Schedule

Sept. 4 PURDUE
Sept. 11 MICHIGAN
Sept. 18 at Michigan State
Sept. 25 STANFORD
Oct. 2 at Boston College
Oct. 9 PITTSBURGH
Oct. 16 WESTERN MICHIGAN
Oct. 23 at Navy (Meadowlands)
Oct. 30 TULSA
Nov. 13 UTAH
Nov. 20 ARMY (at Yankee Stadium)
Nov. 27 at USC

Not going to make any predictions at all but it does seem to be reasonably favorable. Michigan, Stanford, and Pitt at home are games that they very well could win. Navy will give them problems again, Utah will be tough. Maybe all of USC's jrs and srs will transfer out and ND will have a good shot at ending the streak in LA.

I could see them winning and losing each of those games. I don't think the Utah game with give me a great 21st birthday present. I think I'll stay in Columbus and go to the Penn State game. haha

I guess I'll be optimistic and guess this:

Purdue - W
Michigan - W
Michigan State - W
Stanford - W (This will be when ESPN starts overrating the Irish)
Boston College - W
Pittsburgh - L
Western Michigan - W
Navy - W
Tulsa - W
Utah - L
Army - W
Southern Cal - L

With how close last year's games were, it's ridiculous to suggest we actually have the slightest idea of what will happen. If Brian Kelly were to beat Southern Cal and win a bowl game, it'd be happier than sleeper with a bunch of slutty fat chicks.

lol sj, i just get a little touchy when people say negative things about my team. I wasnt in the best mood the other night either. I dont understand why she didnt go to OSU...her boyfriend goes there.

ewok- no, i graduated from st.c. do know a lot of barnesville people though.

Personally, I think a lot of the games could go either way, much like last year. The only solid favorite over ND id pick right now is USC. Who is going to be qb? I know they have some big name recruit, but i remember hearing montana looked better in the spring game.I also think Stanford is overrated. GERHART WAS THE TEAM LAST YEAR. I'll say 9-3 at best, 5-7 at worst.

That schedule is very favorable, only three true road games. Then again, last year was also suppose to be a "favorable" schedule. Kelly has done and said the right things so far but the reality off it all is he has to win.
