Yes, OSU got stomped in those games. Has anyone really denied that? But we also have won a national title and 4 other BCS bowl games. Your comparison is apples to oranges. We get beat by #1 or #2 teams in the country, ND gets stomped in non-national title BCS games. Our only non-title BCS loss was against Texas and that was on a TD in the last ten seconds of the game.

When ND actually makes a title game then you may have an arguement. Until then, your comments trying to make ND sound better than OSU are worthless.

Furthermore, I wasn't "comparing" ND and OSU. Lately, there is no comparison. OSU has been head and shoulders better than ND for some time now and I openly admit that and have never denied it. My point was....if a school getting blown out in a BCS Bowl is an indication that they were "overrated," "can't run with the big dogs" and "played a powederpuff schedule" prior to that BCS Bowl game where they got blown out....then I guess we're going to apply that across the board and that has to be true for other teams who found themselves in that same position, right? Not saying that YOU said all of that. That's a combo of you and Sleeper's statements.

I wasn't comparing how good the programs are or have been. Just saying that if that's how it is......then I you must feel that way about other teams who have suffered that same fate.

And still LMAO at the Derek Anderson comment. Not sure where that came from. And for the record....that was Jonathan Smith at QB for Oregon State when they stomped ND in the 2001 Fiesta Bowl, not Derek Anderson.

Let's face it man, I'm not even an ND hater, but they are terrible. I can't believe there are still ND fans that try to trumpet ND's recent success, you have a bowl win against a depleted Hawaii team, that is your greatest accomplishment in the past 20 years, besides a "close loss to USC".

ND's biggest win of the last 20 years....probably the win over #1 Florida State in 1993. The 2 Cotton Bowl wins over A&M in the early 90's when they were a top 10/top 15 program and that Bowl was more prestgious weren't too shabby either. And the Sugar Bowl win over Florida back then. Definitely have to go back to the early 90's to find the best wins....but that is still in the last 20 years so let's keep it factual.

However, none of that makes up for ND's recent failures. ND hasn't been a fixture in the top 25 for some time now as they've finished the season unranked several times in the last 15 years. Brian Kelly has his work cut out for him. He is a proven winner as a Head Coach at the college level so that is obviously a good thing.

They will always be relevant, but not in the football world. Domer fans love to trumpet that they are still relevant if they are being talked about, but no one is predicting ND to do anything other than go 6-6 every year.

Like I said, ND fans are more concerned about being talked about rather than winning bowl games, and alas, the coach and players must feel the same way.
