Torah Bright in first for Australia with a 45. Hard to beat that for the U.S.

The Americans aren't doing to good in the half pipe. Second rider down in their last run.

Teter probably not enough for the gold. U.S. will get the Silver and Bronze. Yeah, official. U.S. gets 2, but not the gold.

Canada just barely barely beat the Swiss in a shootout. Crosby got the goal in the shootout in the 4th try. The Swiss simply outplayed Canada the 2nd and 3rd.

no, I don't think so.tk421 wrote: I don't really know anything about curling, but was the U.S. expected to medal?
it's just frustrating to watch both skips falter in the clutch time and time again. They've made some really nice shots at times but their mistakes are always huge and when the game is on the line they always mess up....and some of those were on fairly easy attempts
very disappointing to see Gretchen fall both times in the halfpipe

Gretchen might have had the gold had she landed that. She hit the most difficult trick of the run and then faltered on the easy one.

17 total medals so far for the U.S. Germany in second with 11. Not bad for about a week, so far.

good free skate score by the American
a lot of the stuff these guys can do (mainly the jumps) is pretty damn impressive. It's just too bad they have to gay it up so much with all the dancing and flashy crap

Figure skating may not be some people's thing, but they can really jump.

Weir with a huge program. Wow, that's only 5th place? This is why I don't get these kinds of events. Judging.

Plashenko the last skater. U.S. guaranteed at least a silver medal.

Weir deserved better than 5th, well 6th after this Russian goes.

There always seems to be some kind of controversy with skating. This Russian doesn't look like he's doing as good as the American in 1st.

Plushenko in 2nd. U.S. wins the gold. Wow, I thought for sure they would screw us with the scoring.
