Whats funny is over half of these kids either A. Don't live up to the hype B. Transfer or C. Get caught up in off the field shit and never make it. Way too much hype is put on recruiting day.

There are also a lot of two and three star guys that turn out to be exactly that. If you look at the top recruits the last few years you will see a lot of them were at least good or very good players.

Ohio State's '04 class is especially full of disappointments
Chad Hoobler 4 star
Kyle Mitchum 4 star
Sirjo Welch 4 star
Albert Dukes 4 star
Brandon Underwood 3 star

You are correct and thats my point. There are basically just as many kids that turn out to be "stars" there were 2 star recruits as there were 5 star or 4's.

And I am not trying to say star amounts are everything, but it is important to get the best guys. The top schools are the top schools because they get the best players. A decent percentage of the top rated guys turn out to be good. There are low ranked guys that become good or great, but not on nearly the consistant basis the higher rated guys do.

I wasn't saying that the odds aren't different for a 5 star or 2 star becoming an all american you douche, all I'm saying is a lot of 5 star or 4 star players just don't pan out at all.

I think now that the Pete Carroll Dynasty is over in Southern Cali UCLA is just picking up some of the market share. Well, that is what they said everytime yesterday that someone committed to UCLA. I always liked Rick N. as a coach so maybe he is getting ready to make a run at the PAC-10.
