It's always better to be "cummin" than to be "strokin."

That said, I prefer a Power Stroke.

Lol..what's so confusing about it? The Power strokes have the International engines..while the Dodge has the Cummins engine. Swap out the Dodge Cummins engine...and drop it in the Ford Power stroke.

It's confusing b/c ur talking about two engines, not trucks.

I thought the TRUCK was the power stroke..not the engine?? When talking about the engine..I refer to it as International (Navistar). Guess that's just me.

The Powerstroke is made by Navistar, but it's still an engine.

The Ford Super Duty series gets called a Powerstroke when it has the Powerstroke engine.

Yep..I see that..I stand corrected. Wasn't aware that Navistar called the engines Power Strokes. Ok..how's this..Ford Diesel truck..with the Cummins engine installed. Ultimate truck. How's that? Lol

Cummins all the way. Our fleet has tried all three, with the Cummins giving us the best results.

When I was in the business (sold Duramax), I had many commercial customers tell me that if a manufacturer would ever pair a Cummins with an Allison trans. it would be the ultimate truck. I have been out of the game dfor a while now, and do not know much anymore about the Cummins, but I do know that the Allison Trans was just about Bulletproof.

I thought the same thing about the Cummins/Allison, but did some reading up on it and discovered it would cost less to make a Dodge tranny bullet proof than to match the C/A.

If you went out and bought a brand new 2010 truck it would go like this

Duramax>Cummins>Powerstroke

A few years ago when Ford was still dropping the 7.3 into trucks, Chevy had the LLY Duramax and Cummins switched to the 6.7 liter it looked like this

Powerstroke 7.3> Cummins > Powerstroke 6.0 > Duramax LLY > Powerstroke 6.4

The Cummins 5.9 was probably the best engine ever put into trucks. The new 6.7L not so much.
