^^^^^ Or this little blurb about Nelsonville! lol "The campus overwhelms Nelsonville, an economically depressed rural town plagued with heroin addiction and unemployment." Wow, only been to Nelsonville 1 time, but I didnt see any crack heads sitting on the streets holding will work for food signs! lol Talk about stereotyping! Sounds like the Detroit of southern Ohio.
Hocking is a nice 2 year degree campus, a shame that this takes place. I agree, probably just the 1 person looking to get a rise, at least I hope thats all there is.
"Overwhelm" isn't exactly the word I think of when I think of HC and Nelsonville either. It's just a little school on the very corner of town... it's not like the university runs the town by any stretch. When I think of a university that overwhelms the town I think more of OU and Athens.
You close HC, Nelsonville survives (drive through beer sales, gas stations, and fast food will survive on those who remain easily). OU goes away, most businesses will close up in Athens the next day.
