This is not your fathers OSU vs UM rivalry. It's not much of a rivalry when one team taks an ass whippin year after year. A GOOD rivalry is one where the winners go back and forth. This generates a lot more interest and fires up the teams and fans.

I was lucky to be around for the "ten year war" between Woody and Bo. I can honestly say I was never more excited about a sporting event during this time.

Cooper ruined the rivalry, and now RR may be doing the same.

I am pretty sure Carr was getting it handed to him by Tressel before RR showed up.

^Yeah but he put a decent product on the field that was respected around the country. Oh yeah and he cared about coaching defense which RR doesn't do apparently.

At first I said blow out, but I've changed my opinion a little bit so far. If UM had any type of clue on defense, then this game would end up pretty close, IMO. Let's not forget that UM is actually decent on offense (so that stats and scoreboards say).

But I still say that unless OSU's alternate jerseys have had some exposure to a Voo doo curse that causes the jerseys to grow teeth and eat the players, OSU should roll. But not as big as I thought 2 days ago. And not as big of a margain as last year's snoozefest.

When both teams are playing at good levels yes, but right now UM blows big time.

The rivalry is the best in all of college football though imo.

I couldn't disagree more. NOTHING should have more importance to a powerhouse football program than a national championship game. With attitudes like that, maybe that can explain why they've played poor in the last couple bowl games. It appears once they play and beat UM, they've accomplished their greatest goal. OSU-UM is the biggest rivalry in any sport IMO. But it should never be bigger than a national championship if you're lucky enough to be in it.

I'm going up for the game. Anyone know any good hotels that have good rates around campus? Or just advice on how to go about it? Thanks.

Michigan Fans...How are we health wise?

I really think if we can finally use BOTH Brown and Minor, we would be a lot better off

Also any of you think that Vincent Smith could be OUR version of Steve Slaton?

I won't go that far, but the excitement certainly isn't there this year and that depresses me beyond words.

Stephen, if you don't already have a hotel, then the poster after you had the best advice. Stay in Toledo and drive up in the a.m. You won't find a room in Ann Arbor on this short of notice.

As a Buckeye fan, I have NEVER worked during this game. ALWAYS had the day off... For the first time EVER I'm going to be earning money on the day of the big game.

I didn't really have a choice though, as they didn't honor my day requested off....(those bastards) but any other year, I'd probably call off..

However, I expect the game to be ugly anyway. I had the Iowa game off and that was the true Big Ten matchup of the year.

I'll have the Rose Bowl off, or I may be jobless as January 1st.

I also sat go to Toledo then make the drive. That's what I did and I stayed in the new Marriott and it was really nice. Kinda hard to find but not bad. Its less than an hour to the game from there. Just leave at like 8 30 so you avoid traffic and can either go in and enjoy the big house or drink some beers and tailgate on the golf course.
