I've heard and now read in the Poland write up that the Uniontown Lake Blue Streak Turf is very slick. Poor footing on cuts and kicks. Whats the story???

I would guess it is just an excuse from a Poland fan as a reason why they lost. It seems to be a typical "the grass was too green, the sun was too bright" type of complaint.

No, I heard from coaches prior to the Poland game that the surface was not the typical field turf and had less grip.

Heath alum - Poland won the game.. I listened to it on the radio and the announcers mentioned the slick turf and players slipping throughout the game. They also mentioned Wollet of Poland changed his spikes in the 2nd quarter as well. Just wondering if any Lake fans could answr if there has been some slipping on the turf, which can happen if the turf is new. it actually has to wear a little so it isnt slippery.

I was mistaken. Either way, still don't think it's a big deal.
