I have the same setup (different sound system) but no problems.

However, my HDMI cable from the PS3 to the TV shit the bed last night. out of the blue. Does this happen? It worked on Tuesday when we watched a movie, then last night I got on the internet with it, and after like 20 minutes picture went out. I swapped it with the other HDMI cable I had (for the Dish) and it came back. Then I took the original cable and used it on the Dish, still no picture. What gives?

The fact that the blu ray sound works but Madden doesn't blows my mind.

It probably has to do with the Boise system. I think the blue turf affects it.

i know that for whatever reason my playstation switched the video output to below high definition and my picture disappeared. to fix it the playstation had to be restarted and reset.
