It's funny that you mention all these schools. Of course, you are going to play the other Catholic schools on your schedule. Don't you forget, Benedictine 3-7, Holy Name 1-9, St Peter Chanel 4-5. Every team is good at this point.

You will not see Ashland in awe or shocked at MLC, as some are speculating.

We match up good with MLC, for some reason I think this match up is better than Howland. I thought Howlands D was the best I watched this year, followed by Orrville.

No disrespect to MLC, as I only watched Padua and Canfield games.

DII is anyones, at this point!

Good luck Ashland. I heard LC is getting back one of thier top players from a broken collarbone this week. He's a runningback / linebacker. Ashland knows how to step it up in playoffs.

Is Matt Dilgard a go for this week? I think he got in only two plays last Friday night. Them high ankle sprains are nasty buggers.

Also, congratulations to Coach Valentine for being named OCC Coach of the Year and Marcus Fuller for being named OCC Offensive Player of the Year!

After listening to two of the internet playoff analysis shows (the PD's, and Todd Bell's on ohssports), and reading some of these posts, I don't know why Ashland should even bother showing up. I mean after all Lake Catholic is so superior over Ashland, and their schedule rivals that of the Pittsburgh Steelers, while Ashland you know only plays in the OCC, and their schedule can not possibly match that of LC's (hear that Dover, Orrville, Clearfork, Lexington?, and never mind that in the playoffs Ashland is the only DII team to have beaten two teams to have finished in the top 10 of the final AP poll).

Granted LC should be considered the favorite, they have a very good offense and defense, are the number one team in the region, are ranked higher in the final AP poll, have a historic football tradition, and there is no doubt they have played a strong schedule, but to totally dis Ashland (you know that team from the sticks that plays the crazy spread offense with an unproven defense and suspect schedule) hopefully will come back to haunt LC fans and pundits. (Whenever you preface a remark with ... "With all due respect" or "Nothing against Ashland but".... you mean the opposite).

Here's hoping for a clean, hard fought, injury free game!

Go Arrows .... overlook the arrogance of some Northeast Ohio fans and pundits and prove that good football is not limited to Northeast Ohio!

I want to wish Lchsman and the Lake Catholic Cougars the very best this week in the regional finals. Hopefully this will be a well played, injury free game between to great programs. Good luck.

What an "anal"ysis

No wonder the Plain Dealer is on it last legs.

I've seen both teams play and I have to give the nod to Ashland. I just think they are better on both sides of the ball. Also, I think Coach Valentine and Coach Fuller are unbelievable at putting together great game plans. These two guys work together as one. They will have the Arrows ready Friday night.

I have no dog in the hunt, just an observation after seeing both teams play. Hoping for an injury free game.

anytime LUNG .................you have been waiting for this to happen and it did, it was a great season for the OCC with 2 teams going farther than anyone outside the OCC thought they would

Congrats to LC. What an heart breaking loss for the Arrows, though. Dan Fuller probably hasn't slept too well since Friday night. His defense did not make a stop all night.

Great season Arrows. Wasn't convinced that you were as good as some of those Housewright teams (even after you beat us at Orrville)...but you proved me, and many others wrong.

Had a knack for winning games late, and that's what good teams do.
