Big Red fans received alot of hate from Salem. I mean the community really hated the Steubenville community and fans. They might give Dover a run for there money as " the school/town" that hates Big Red the most that actually plays them. But for now it remains Dover.

I mean i can understand it.... How many times has Big Red ended there dreams?
So, they can say it's about the community all the want. But, it's about gettin their behinds wooped mostly.

I havn't seen DOVER play this year, but have followed their schedule and scores. They sound very similar to Big Red on Offense philosify wise.

SOS-As much as Dover doesnt want to hear it, Big Red hauled the tougher road to get where they are now.
And it's the main reason Big Red hasnt always had STYLE POINT victories.
Woodland Hills,PA, lost to Big Red but Big Red payed for that victory in BLOOD. Macon got hurt and knocked out, in the 1st or 2nd series, in that game before coming back to win that game.
Along with many other players.
Took Big Red until Massillon game to heal up.

Then Massillon,Poland took it's toll on Big Reds health again. then came a very SPEEDY Inkster,Mich. team.
Big Red used Cardinal O,Hara and Marlington as games to rest hurt players resulting in the lack of style points.
Salem Game; Big Red was close to full strength but rusty vs. Salem.

As far as, the DOVER-BIG RED 2009 game. I expect DOVER to be similar to Poland (And thats a compliment) , but a touchdown better than POLAND.

Coaching wise, I think this is BIG RED's toughest game this year, Ifft is a great offensive mind.

Bottom line BIG RED has been tested by 4 regular season teams as good as Dover. Can Dover say the same?

Prediction:
BIG RED--27
DOVER--24

Should be a great game, hope I can make it!!

Woodland Hills, Massillon and Inkster are all better then Dover.
Another thing. Posters have said big red is a running team. We are balanced across the board. We can hurt you either way. In some of the game plans it called for more of a running attack.Vs Massillon 2td were through the air.

We shall see. The calpreps had Massillon beating us as well as Woodland Hills.

Go to a HS football game drunk? Ahhhhhhh, I've found the difference. We dont go to HS football games drunk here at Dover. You may look up the Steuby cop that was drunk and disorderly at the massillion Freshmen game I bet he could help you find that club?
[/quote]

Well, you are just as high and mighty as they come......sorry but no one here in Steubenville gives a flying frick what you do in Dover.....

You don't win too many playoff games either....

We've got drunks, druggies, unemployed, and you've got a bunch of judgemental 'holier than thous' who just love to look down on anyone you can.....

Well, I'm educated and Middle Class but I choose not to judge people b/c I've not been in their shoes...

So, after we beat you Friday, you can go back to your country club and shelter yourselvbes from all the lowlife scumbags who aren't as fortunate as yourselves.....

Like Billy Joel sang, "I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints".....

Until they met lil ole Coldwater.

Upsets DO happen!!!
Believe!!!
Upsets do happen, I know. Coldwater was a great team that year, it wasn't that big of an upset. Do you also remember that Mooney had a VERY significant injury to their QB going into that game? A QB (and safety) by the way, who was better than any player that has been argued about on this thread. Mooney was the better team but they weren't healthy, and Coldwater was very good in their own right--hard to win a game in week 15 without your starting QB who happened to be the best player in the state.

And I don't understand how anyone thinks the Salem faithful hate Steubenville.

LOL and I love the notion that Dover is some classy, gated, country club community because there are some Big Red fans who have gone to games drunk.

"hate from Salem" ............. hardly; what a complete mischaracterization. The only thing we didn't like was the incredible arrogance of a few Big Red posters. Get over it.

BTW, for everyone, putting multiple periods between sentences makes your longer posts easier to read......I wish everyone would do it.

Plus people are more likely to read a long post if it's written like that, IMO.
