OK - Here is a question i had last night but didnt want to sound "bitter" by asking it, but was just watching the Mass/McK game and it brought it back up. If a team fumbles the ball into the endzone it is a touchback unless the player that made the fumble recovers it correct?

Good Luck Big Red................clearly the much more physical team. I will ALWAYS root for a public vs. a private. Disregard any Dover fan that replies..............steubenville is stupid, maybe age requirements should be inposed here. He sounds like a 14 yr old!!

I was thinking same thing, same as you. Dover was beat and the private school would have killed Dover. IMO

I know that if the ball is fumbled out of the endzone it is a touchback. It has happenned at Big red games before.I don't know about recovery rule.

It's funny you would say that after hearing all week "this is the best Dover team ever"

That is a rule in NFL (aka casper rule) not sure about OHSAA rule. But the difference in the Steubby fumble, which was recovered by them in the endzone, and the Massillon fumble, was Massillon fumbled the ball in and out of the endzone. These are 2 different scenerious.

Well yes If your talking to me.I was talking about out of the endzone. That rule helped BIGRED come back to win a game in 05 or 06 it was a miracle.

I bleed Dover. But I agree, our final destination was Steubenville either way. Mooney would have embarrassed us.

Umm, No. I happen to believe they have a distinct recruiting advantage. Which has lessened with open enrollments, but ive always been fascinated how an inner city kid can afford tuition to a Mooney or Iggy, for example!!

They arent ALL Catholic based! Hence, Walsh Jesuit, in Akron. Many others, too.

I'm sorry but I'm just a fan.I'm not involved with the doings of Steubenville high school.I don't think about those kinda things.I know recruiting is illegal.I also think BigRed would have been caught all these years if they were doing something like that. And I don't care if Mooney does recruit. We will still beat them.

Anyways, Good Luck.............Ill pop in and out of the Red/Mooney thread but it will be lame. Ill be stirring my trouble within the Mass/Glenville thread. I did predict the Massillon win tonight but they lose to Glenville by 14+.

Cleveland Hawthorne, University School, and many others around the state have no religious affiliation whatsoever.

Oh, and I dont claim to know everything, but there was an ECOL pick'em during the year. I went 50-5 to win it all. Had Massillon winning tonight. Rooted like hell for Dover vs Big Red but never posted Dover would win. The only prediction I made was IF Dover could win, they would get thumped by Mooney! So I guess I callled Mooney too. BTW, DeSales will beat Mooney!!

Yes Mooney 21-14 in week 2 in Youngstown. Different results in final!! Id love to be wrong and have Big Red there. The kicking thing bothers me with you though. It has been a season long thing, so it isnt going to get better now?
