During the Indians’ current-six game winning streak, Jones has completed 67 percent of his passes (114 of 170) for 1,674 yards and 16 touchdowns. He’s tossed just four interceptions in those 170 attempts and, perhaps most impressively, is nearly picking up a first down each time he throws by averaging a robust 9.8 yards per attempt. He’s got three 300-yard games over his last six outings. This includes only playing 2.5 quarters each against WB and Alliance.
“The big thing with Jones is that he breaks your defense down by scrambling if he gets pressure,” Ifft said. “You want to get pressure on him, but sometimes you’re damned if you do get pressure on him because his athletic ability takes over.”
This is going to be the key to the game tonight. Does Dover blitz him and risk getting burned, or sit back and make him throw perfect balls? I am really hoping to see a shootout tonight! GO GET 'EM BOYS!!!
