This is what makes the USA great. Regardless of where you stand on this issue, just the fact that an issue that is such a hot topic can be voiced on the biggest stage is a great thing and if someone pro choice wants to pony up the funds, they can run an ad too.

The story about him and his family is amazing. Im glad they are doing this commercial, standing up for what is right! Maybe it will make some people think.

Good for him- our culture of convenience needs a little dose of reality every once in awhile.

So is the idea behind this going to be don't abort your kid b/c they can grow up to be Tim Tebow?

Abortions aren't just "an easy way out" as some people might think but they are a necessary thing for women who whose health and or life is at risk if they were to have the child. Should we take that away from them?

I think if you read into it, you will find out that his mother was told to have an abortion. Had she Tim never would have been born. The ad I believe will take the views of this particular situation.

women's life at risk? Okay, that accounts for about 1% of the abortions...what about the other 99%? Whether you are for abortion or against it let's not hide behind the argument that a woman's life is in danger and that's why abortions are happening. It is an easy "way out" of having to be responsible for raising a child.

He said Health not life. Mental health is also an issue.

This thread should be moved to politics or serious business as Tim Tebows name might be in it but the subject is quickly turning towards abortion.

Where is the dead horse beating pics when you need them?

Hitler's mother was going to have an abortion too, but she decided against it at the last second. If she had done it, millions of lives would have been spared from his atrocities, thank god for abortion.

What Hitler did in executing aproximately 12 million people was one of sickest things in human history. Almost 50 million Americans have been executed by abortion since 1973. Execution of people is an extremely disgusting event. You are right in a sense that Hitler should have been stopped earlier. Good job by Tebow by taking a stand against those who are in favor of executing babies. Hopefully his work saves lives.

I don't like threads on abortion, they never go anywhere. Keep this thread clean or it will be closed very quickly.

What if someone close to you was viciously raped and impregnated by a strung-out crack addict ... would you still feel this way? Honest question, this is purely hypothetical, please don't take this as a personal attack but rather a valid question.

Should we execute any child that has a parent that is a criminal? Or is the child innocent if his/her parents are criminals?

Actually zero Americans have died from abortions, now fetuses, another story.

This situation constitutes a small percentage of abortions. Most data indicates less than 1%. This would be a hard decision for anyone as well as myself. But in the end it can't be justified to take an innocent life because of the crime of another.

It is not a child, but no matter how we banter, we won't agree here. Nevermind, not worth opening this can of worms.

I have a feeling that many people are ok with abortions for if the woman's life is in danger, or if it is the product of rape. I think the big issue is with people using it as birth control.

Nearly 50 million babies have been executed. It is really sick if you have so little respect for human life, that you don't respect the lives of youngest. You criticized Hitler (rightfully so) for his execution of Jews. He viewed the Jews as not being human. You view babies as not being human. People should not be executed, and your lack of respect for human life is just disgusting.

Look, I am pro-choice, but I understand the viewpoints of those who are not. The sticking point is that I don't believe a fetus is a child, while you do. Because of this, nothing said in this thread will do much good either way. To me, a fetus is as much a child as the sperm in a used condom. A bit graphic, I know, but that is the way I feel about it. If you truly believe a fetus is a child, then sure, I can see why your stance is so.

I don't care one way or another because I'm a guy, but I'm all for more abortions if it means the public won't have to pay for unwanted kids.

You asked a valid question. Now I have one. If you don't think it is a child, at what point do you consider it a human life?
