Heading up to MGM Grand Detroit with a few buddies tomorrow for a bachelor weekend. We've got a few cases of beer, a few bottles, a double queen luxury room, limo service to and from the hotel, and pockets full of cash which we'll probably never see again...

I've only really been to the MGM once, and it was a quick, few hour in-and-out on the way home from a Pistons game. Does anyone have any thoughts, tips, or recommendations regarding the casino, hotel, restaurants, or the like?

Hit Mexicantown for the food. We have a pretty heavy mexican population in Detroit and the food is authentic (welllllll, as authentic as you can get inner city michigan...hehe).. or Chelio's Chili bar is supposed to be pretty good too, but I'm not much if a hockey guy so i've never made a point of going there. I know the gambling is a big deal if you don't live here, but I am about 20-25 minutes from downtown and just don't care that they are there. Have fun, and drink a few for me.

Greektown is also fun. The neighborhood, not the casino.

Ok I will do my best to give you directions. We went to this mexican place during final four weekend last year and it was the best i have ever had. Go outside greektown's main entrance on the other side from the parking garage and turn left. Walk about 1 block and across the street on the corner you will see a mexican place. There will also be a strip club down an ally righ next to it. It was the best i have ever had and if you can find it enjoy. Also Detriot Brewing Pub was good or whatever it is called.

Make sure there isn't a lion in the bathroom

I went to Greektown in June for a bachelor party. That Mexican restaurant sportchampps is talking about is good. Here is that strip club in Greektown that you want to go to for sure. http://www.bouzoukigreektown.com/ Beer is $7 but the dance prices are very reasonable. We also spent a lot of time at a bar in Greektown called The Old Shillelagh...cool place. Have fun man!

Actually you should make sure there isn't a tiger in the bathroom.

Although I bet your buddy is gonna get pneumonia instead of a sunburn.

Edit: If you just want to have fun at a casino then play whatever you feel like. But if you want to maybe make some money apparently blackjack is one of the better games odds-wise.

To be honest, most of the girls at Bouzouki were hot. I was surprised.
