I'd stay at Texas until Brown retires here soon.

Will Muschamp is a Georgia alum.
The interesting thing is rumors swirling had Muschamp possibly coming to Georgia to be the coordinator and "coach in waiting" at Georgia. Highly unlikely given Mark Richt's age, and unless UGA planned on firing Richt, that move doesn't make sense to promise the job to a coach when the current coach isn't even 50-years old himself.
If Richt doesn't fix the defensive woes however, he WILL get canned, and look for Muschamp to be the top candidate. Nice problem to have for Will...the Texas job in waiting and the #1 man in line for the Georgia job if they ever need a new coach.
Bottom line, I don't see him going to Tennessee under any circumstance.

Maybe I'm completely wrong about Will Muschamp.
That would actually be an UPGRADE for the Vols IMO...and a big blow to the University of Texas.

Muschamp should take this job. Who knows how long Mack Brown will stick around at Texas. Especially since Brown has had the team performing at such a high level.

One person says he's actually been offered the job by UT already, and one other says that Chris Petersen is being flown in tomorrow for an interview. Both are closely connected sources, so this will be interesting.
Last year, UT was looking very closely at Troy Calhoun (Air Force). Outside of that, Mike Hamilton kept everything close to the vest.

not sure Troy Calhoun will want to leave the AFA.... he's done a really great job out there.
dont think UT is going to go back to Fulmer either....
Petersen said he loves Boise...
I'd love to see them give David Cutcliffe some love but i doubt they will since he's a Fulmer disciple

Muschamp said No. He'll wait for Texas. Kirby Smart will be at Uga if Richt has another sorry season. Tenn. Board members called Fulmer about being AD or Coach. Calhoun and Cutcliffe are the Vols front runners

Tennessee's AD won't let Fulmer come back. If I was him after the way things ended I don't know if I'd want to go back

Some are calling for Hamilton's neck. Phillipottamus won't return unless they clean house and put him in charge of everything. And pay him lots of money. I think he may return, he wants to feel the love from Vol nation.

Probably a wise decision for Muschamp to stay in Austin. He's definitely Mack Brown's successor, and in this case, being patient will certainly pay off. Texas is a much better job than Tennessee...probably one of the top 3 jobs in all of college football right now.

Based on value Texas probably the best job in College Football right now. Get the best players from Texas and most from the rest of big 12 territory.
