Waynedale wrestled at Cardington yesterday and there were some excellent matches.....matches that made some of the boys dig deep to show what they were made of. Yes we won the dual but it wasn't always as lopsided as the scores showed Tyler Harter beat a young man that hadn't lost a match until yesterday in his senior year and what a classy kid he lost with grace. Zeb Beam beat two state qualifers at 152. Tyler Siegel beat a state qualifier(I believe). Jerod McCluggage went 4-1 at 160 giving up almost 15#. Several of the guys went 5-0 but they earned it. It was in my opinion a very nice tournament to attend.

Yes it is bad. At least when Iam talking to myself its top notch conversation and very interesting but a few extra posters along with the 8 to 10 voices in my head would be more fun and entertaining.

I agree, lets get it going! Lets talk sectionals-215 class for starters,
Schafrath probably the favorite. Who else will contend and advance, Mullins(WD), Allerding(LOUD), Orrick(BR). I know I'm missing some contenders, help me out.

We had Scott Spring down training in the Nelson Man cave this morning and Seth Powers on friday .You can't beat wresting dads and their kids. Congrats to Seth getting healthy and certifying saturday at 130 and Spring on winning W. Jeff tournament, great kid. I think Zane is going to make the jump to 140 soon. Ok Beast its your turn.

welll...Bears have a solid week to get ready for the D-III Duals, coming off the Cardington Duals team title...hoping for a big showing. Start off with A very strong #1 seed West Jefferson team, the Bears are lookinto open some eyes, and gain some respect at the State level.
Results from Saturday:

Round 1:
Waynedale 47, Cardington 18
Round 2:
Waynedale 66, Zane Trace 0
Round 3:
Waynedale 68, Plymouth 6
Round 4:
Waynedale 61, Ayersville 12
Round 5 Finals
First Place:
Waynedale 48, Northmor 27

Jonathan Beam (189), Zeb Beam (152), Tyler Harter (112), Spenser Lewis (145), Justin Pertersheim (135), Tyler Siegel (171) all went 5-0 on the Day with Zeb Beam earning Outstanding Wrestler Award.

Going 4-1 were: Rodney Coblentz (103), Tony Widder (130), Brendon Stanley (140), Jerod McCluggage (160) and Brandon Gove (Hwt). Bears lost 5 total matches, the rest of the points were from forfeits!!!
Bears improve to a sterling 21-1 on the year.

Looks like no one wants to talk sectionals yet, so I won't bother. Since free JJ went away, I do believe I actually am talking to myself. Not much use in that.

Best of luck to everyone this season. Over & Out.

Red rum, Any chance the loser of Schaefer/Beam goes to 215?

Beast, sorry I couldn't be more social Sunday. I was busy with paperwork then Louie tried telling my kids that I was buying donuts in the cafeteria. I got a chance to talk to the little beast. He may be your missing 112 next year?

Nice Tri at Dalton on Wednesday...Orrville and Tuslaw coming.
I know we're not going to blow them up like the Bears , but we should have a better showing with these two teams than we did last year (I hope). Is Raber still at 171?

Red Rum...sorry its just a little early to talk Sectionals. My eyes are on D-III Duals....then Marion Elgin....lol. Next big event would be procrastinating League. League results go along way into Sectional Talk.

Underoverthrow...you are such a cheapskate...I cant believe you wouldnt buy the kids doughnuts....would you of bouht JELLO??? Hey why do The Bears NOT sell yellow jello??? I might be onto something there. ;-) Hoping Lil Beast breaks in somewhere...just see how much he grows...he might be overrated...too early to talk about how bad the Bears will be hurtin after losing THIS years Seniors.

Good luck Bulldogs, Orrville has a descent squad and Tuslaw has a very nice squad. Just watch out for that Falcon81 character

Waynedale is NOT at the Dies

This weekend is the Marquee Jr High wrestling event of the area with Waynedale hosting the Kaderly Classic WABC friday and saturday

Hear Raber will be down to 160 this week.
Is Keyes going to be at 189 or 171?
Hoping for a decent showing to motivate the home crowd to embrace wrestling a little more.

I Hope the dual has full line-ups. Duals are great for the sport to promote local rivalries but suck if the line ups are full of forfeits or people bump away from the good matches. And don't worry Falcon81 will be on his best behavior beast, this new medication has been great for personalities 3 thu 7.

Why are the Bears in the Dies? That would be a good tourn. to test some of there boys. It isn't the Ironman but is very tough tourn.

Just isnt feasible for the less talented wrestlers....mat time is essential. Duals gives 5 matches...as opposed to possible 2 and out at dies. This is ALLL jus PRACTICE til secional gets here

Wrong Beast! We got out due to the fact that Elgin and Dies just happened to be on the same weekend this year, we chose Elgin for various other reasons. Loved Dies and hope to be back in. Nothing to do with duals!!!!

Orrville and Dalton seemed very young. Raber impressed me , can he really get down to 160? he looks huge at 171. Maple heights is ging to be insane, some deserving kids are not going to get to the big show while some very weak kids will make it out of the other districts.
Remeneric is very solid , I hope he can make the cut to Columbus, 171 is deep.
Tuslaw is improving every week ,the freshman continue to show progess, hopefully peak in time for Maple Hieghts. Zane Nelson moving to 140 will put either Blair or Logan at 135 which will strengthen the middle of the line up for sectionals. Bobby Mann was missing in the line up last night also with a ailment. Firestone next week for some real testers. To bad Waynedale doesn't have the quality of wrestling up for this event(According to the master sandbagger 1beast).LOL Maybe next year when they are not having a down year !
PS Good luck to Waynedale at the d3 duals, represent the area well this sunday.
